Reduced to clear makes it seem like you're getting a bargain but the normal offer has been £19 anyway

Emergency services staff only?

What?
I think If I was an emergency worker I'd be happier to actually walk into Tesco and get some essentials.
Can't eat a nest mini.

Can't eat a nest mini.

Technically you can eat pretty much anything. How well it pans out for you as a result, that's a different matter.

Very handy over the coming months to use to make free phone calls

Free calls to UK landline and mobile. For free overseas calling the other person needs to be on Google Duo, which works nicely over a fair internet connection.
And it replaced my DAB radio ...

IMHO the speech quality is better on the Mk1 (Home mini) than the wuffely Mk2 (Nest mini).

Interesting to hear that, been considering getting a Nest Mini alongside my Home Mini. Both for radio purposes mainly. Do you mean that speech sounds clearer on the 1st gen? I listen to speech radio in the main.

Then, you don't understand either the word "eat" or "technically".

The fact of the matter is, if you were trained for technical competence, you would not have said what you did.

Moreover, let me add to the list, you don't understand either the word "eat" or "technically" or "humour"! Possibly, the pun may be good for a teenager, but, we are grown-ups.

Splender, mate, what are you doing? Stop trying to pick fights for literally no reason with strangers who are just kidding around on the internet. Make a cup of tea and do something productive, or something that makes the world a better place, with your time, neither of which you're doing right now.

Has been this price on and off (mostly on) for so long now, and with that £4 eBay thing that was doing the rounds I'm amazed this is getting a lot of love! I think the 2nd gen will be about this price soon

You have your style, I have mine, how it pans out is a different matter.
