Best of luck wiring it...

Is it not just a single cable?

Is it not just a single cable?

It’s just a plug in job but It takes a fair size of hole to be drilled due to the slug on the camera side of the cable that needs to pass through your wall.

You can snip off the plug and re-wire if you don’t mind voiding warranty of course.

Brilliant camera 👌

That sounds a pain. They should really think that through when they design these things.

They fixed it with the outdoor IQ, but that’s a tad more expensive

That one looks more like it. Hidden cable too.
I’ve got a few of these and they’re very good but are regularly on offer around the £125 mark, last one was Amazon a few weeks ago, try Camel Camel Camel
Like the yi outdoor camera the usb cable has to go through the wall , yes a pain but once in you don't notice
Great camera but it’s so frustrating with person alerts. Picks up shadows and animals. Otherwise good camera.
The subscription service per camera ruins this for me. As I'd need around 6 cameras. Would cost a fortune in subscriptions xD
I thought this was a deal for a bird box camera....

Mine goes off with large raindrops too
Other than that, great.
Im now ripping all my nest crap out, scamming thieving dirty b@@@@@ , check your subscription end dates, and notice how they tie all camera expiry dates to end at the same time as your first subscription, as in i took out my 2nd subscription that i paid for 12 months, only 4 months ago and it runs out on Wednesday, so where has my 8 months gone.
Security cameras with exposed wires coming out of the bottom, genius level stuff

You should have been charged pro-rata. They did the same with mine but adjusted the price to reflect the term. Double check your invoice as they are complicated the way they show the reduction.
You need to drill a 22mm hole if plugging in to an internal socket. I did mine through my wooden garage door frame and filled it with silicone.

Yes i checked my bank and they did, but when i did it said £40 for 10 day footage for 12 months, i got no email conformation or anything, there was no mention of this, problem is as its no longer staggered i cant get each one at the second camera cost, there crafty, and unless they honer what i should be allowed then its all going, its all gone right down hill lately, cant use the time laps rewind as its just blurred out, and they still haven't added the feature to tell it who i am so i keep getting told im at the door, how stupid is that. cheers.

You can log into your account online and look at your subscription charges there and then. I then did a Web chat with them so they could explain the charges to me. It's published on their site that additional cameras get a discount.

I think your missing the point, ill still have to pay the rip off charge for the first camera, where as if its staggered then you wouldnt.

You pay on a per camera basis whether its staggered or not. The first camera is always £40 per year regardless. Additional cameras are £30 per year each.

You will always pay the £40 per year for at least one camera.

Are you expecting it to be £60 for two cameras? That's not how it works.

Any pics of people’s install through brickwork ? as I’ve read alot about the larger hole needed for the power cable, is the extra worth it for the newer IQ Camera Deal ?
Or any better suggestions for wireless 24/7 cloud recording
Thanks

Just drill at the corner of a brick on the cement likr they do when doing cavity insulation, and do the fixings in the cement, then if you remove you will hardly see it, if atall

No, i expect to pay full price for the first, then 8 months later pay half for the second, then 4 months later pay half as iv already got a first, im aware what there doing, its fine if 4 months ago they would have told me, but they didnt, they sold my 12 months at 10 days for £40, but only took £9.57 for just under 4 months now they want to charge me £80, and £120 to swap each one over to the other way, so my doorbell now has the 10 dat instead of 5, there scumbags.
I have 4 of these cameras, they are brilliant, yes there is a fee per month but its pennies in the scheme of things, i have 3 outdoor and 1 indoor, i got them all for less than £120 each,
You can cut the cut the power lead to allow a smaller hole to be drilled or have outside sockets put up out of reach, yes people can cut the wires but people cud always cut your phone line. This work well apart from shadows when really sunny it thinks someones shadow is a person. As stated the iq camera is smaller lead,i have outdoor sockets fitted drilled from inside sockets, no problems and I have power points for Xmas/ outside lights etc
Was still deciding on this or the newer IQ But as mentioned above I have seen mentioned and repeated on most of the newest reviews about the latest update forcing the status light on which kind of ruins it for me, any feedback from any owners on this with running set ups

It can be dimmed. If using outside it wouldn't really be visible anyway. In fact at night the red infrared lights are more noticeable.

Thanks for the reply, found this rather large discussion here link To Discussion. Seems like it has not gone down well with owners. I’m going to wait now due to not wanting a light visible all the time. Doesn’t look like they are going to undo there change either
