You don't need to qualify. Of you just go to the BT Shop and to the Google Nest Wireless Doorbell, scroll down and look at the 1 bundle available and hey presto a free home hub.

Wonder if hukd changed my link. I just clicked on get deal and it auto inserted a code, which says already redeemed.

    Expensive subscription cost

On the topic of subscriptions. The free tier gives you 3 hours free recording. For clarity, that is not 3 hours in total. It's just the last 3 hours. So if someone rings the doorbell at 8am then that video will disappear at 11am even if no other events trigger the motion sensor.

Ring costs £2.50 for 1 device, and has 30 day storage. £9 for unlimited devices.

Google I think is £10 a month for 30 day storage.
Google has the free tier and ring has no free tier.

You need Google hello if you want all the features to work with the Google hub (screen) and same for Amazon, you need the ring to work with the echo show .

If you go for eufy which has local storage (still has a subscription option) it won't work with the Google hub or echo show. No auto showing off video or two way calling.

Basically if you want it all to work, and want storage, you need the subscription which is crap. So in the end got a ring but have separate CCTV for long term storage.

Aha I see, thanks for the further info.
I definitely do not fancy paying £10 that is very expensive!
I was tempted with the Eufy bell, but I found mixed reviews on YouTube

BT do good offers from time to time, such as the ps5 preorders, so it's worth registering for the mailing list just in case.

Good find. It was available from the hub page but they removed it. Looks like they added it to the doorbell instead.
