This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

Nowhere near as good as yesterday's shortly lived deal at City Plumbing (who are now selling this at £145), but still the lowest out there.

Hoping it gets closer to £100 today!

Just to add, for the self wire approach that cost me less than £25.
Here are the details:

transfomer £10 - amazon.co.uk/gp/…SLE

bell £9 - amazon.co.uk/gp/…Z0G --- (this is rated at 8vac but working fine on 12vac)
BTW this was my family preference for a traditional buzzer bell. You can get ding-dong etc if preferred like this: amazon.co.uk/Fri…YYS

wire £4 - amazon.co.uk/gp/…3T2

Plus I needed less than 1 meter of mains flex and a plug that i had already.
I really wanted to go with Nest Hello but just missed the offer yesterday. Still going with Ring because everything is included in the packing (doorbell + chime + transformer) and with added bonus of Echo Show free of cost. Another major point is theft replacement, which is part of the Ring package but not for Nest Hello.

Nest is better because
a. Facial recognition (Ring will bring this feature any moment)
b. Quick response time than Ring
c. Continuous recording
d. Better voice assistant
e. Good audio communication (compares to ring)

No i doubt it, but this is a far superior product. Smaller, better quality, person detection (AI), facial recorgnition and 247 recording.

compairs with wired ring pro, not battery ring/ring 2.
I went with the nest hello ~6months back and its fab.
Wired it myself using ~£25 transformer/wire/bell from amz.

Does the ring pro do facial recognition and 247 recording? I heard it often misses the start of clips and the person allthoether as well as being super slow to show the notification on the phone.

More I was making the point of comparing like with like.
AFAIK the ring pro does not do face recognition.
But at the same time its cloud pricing is lower (or was... not sure now nest aware pricing changed)
how easy is it to pull this off its fixing?

The hello requires 16-24v, you have referenced a 12v setup here.. it may be working for you, but may not work for others running under spec

with spate of thefts of doorbells in London, is ring a better option as they replace stolen doorbell?

Ahhh, that makes things easier then! I was considering the Ring 2 as I could use my existing 8v, this might make the decision easier!

I think its only covered for 1 stolen camera which i suppose is one more than Nest .

Coverage of this theft protection is limited to one (1) replacement only for each Ring camera or doorbell product that you have purchased. Theft protection does not apply to any products purchased from third party sellers on eBay and other online marketplaces .

one is still good enough! and with so many deals of ring on amazon you will be covered. still undecided.

I have the Ring and a Canary cam. I'm going to switch as the Nest Aware sub will be good value for money and the Ring app feels a bit blunky.
Great price! I paid £149 a week ago, should have held out to today.

I'm goign to use a simple plug for mine £15: amzn.to/2so…sjf
