Google Nest Learning Thermostat Features
The 3rd generation Google Nest Learning Thermostat is slimmer, sleeker and even more beautiful. With a bigger, sharper display and Far sight, you can see the time or the temperature you've set from across the room. And now it even controls your hot water tank. The Google Nest Thermostat learns the temperature you like, then programs itself. It uses built-in sensors to confirm no one's home and It knows how long it takes to heat your home so you're comfortable when you get there. When you leave, it turns itself down so you save energy. And you can check your Energy History with the Google Nest App to see how much you've saved.
  • No more programming. Just turn it up and down. With Auto-Schedule, Google Nest learns from you and programs itself.
  • Save while you’re away. Won't heat an empty home. Uses sensors and your phone to know when you're away.
  • Control it remotely. Change the temperature from anywhere using your mobile, tablet or laptop.
  • Say goodbye to guessing. True Radiant turns the heat on just in time to reach the temperature you want, when you want.
  • 2 Year Guarantee
  • Hello, Leaf. Know you’re saving energy. Look for the Google Nest Leaf when you change the temperature.
  • Includes - display, base, heat link, optional trim plate & wall screws

6% topcashback also.
I knew holding out would be the right thing, thanks !
waited patiently and finally result!! Thanks OP
I presume these come with the heat link as City doesn't explicitly say?
Thanks for posting this deal! They had one in my local store glad I've waited plus 10 % from Quidco. I just hope they won't come out with new gen next year as price of this one will drop. Came up to 125 pound. Now I need to convince my trusty plumber to have a go at it and not to charge me fortune for instalation.

Friends,
Get this, or the Hive (hot water + heating) with installation plus the echo dot for £160? (£20 more)?
I have a combi boiler and no clue what I'm doing, so if I got this I'd need to get a local tradesman.

Thanks for the help!!!
Great find, bought 2, I've been waiting for it to come down.

I've got this zoned underfloor heating system, so this will take care of the main living spaces.
Does anyone have any idea when the 4th will come out?
How are you guys getting 10% quidco?

any ideas of creating zones using Next or Smart radiator values?
I have this and it's brilliant. Make sure you connect it to the wi-fi in order to do updates.
Purchased with Quidco and added heat for your troubles

Mine stopped connecting to wifi. Won't it update automatically while connected?
How much do it cost for installation
Edited by: "jammiejam2k69" 29th Nov 2019
I only set mine up the other day over wi-fi and it did the updates. I use the app to adjust the temp if I'm in another part of the house.

Don't then, as the app doesn't work
I'd advise against the Nest thermostat.. lots of obvious things you want to do can't be done. and you can't buy temperature sensors in the UK, so you only get to control the temp in one room.
So, only buy if you have a one room flat.

without separate temp sensors, no, and you can only buy them in the USA or Canada.
Does the price include installation? If not how much is that. Tia.

Hi, this is helpful, can you say why (brief is fine!). Thanks.
I'm keen to get active heating buy really want controllable radiator valves so as to not heat bedrooms in evening until nearer bed time. Tado seems to offer decent thermostat valves. Hive has them but reviews not good. So can only buy for Nest from USA?

Would you mind saying why?
Main thing for me between Nest and Hive is that Hive does not support Opentherm.

Not a big deal if your boiler doesn't support it either.

Just much easier to use and feels much better quality.
And piss East to set up in comparison

Also hive runs on batteries. Best can be powered using old wring or usb plug
Can this be linked up to the boiler yourself, or do you need installation on top? I have 2019 combi boiler.

You need to upgrade your Quidco account to advanced premium for £1 extra a month.
Installation was between 80 and 105 pound my quotes were from nest pros. Must be laughing as it's only a 20 minute job installing the heat link.

I managed to get one who used to live near me and only charged £45

Have a watch of some you tube videos and see if your confident. I was 90% confident but got a heating engineer in the end as my boiler is about 17 years old and it even baffles him a little.

New ones look pretty straight forward tbh.

Mine didn't need water as I've a combi and its literally a 3 core wire from combi to heat link for live, neutral and call for heat.
