Anyone know the instore price? I've got two of those £20 off £100 spend.

Yeah ive got one as well, but i doubt they'll be worth spending on anything instore, online prices will no doubt beat the saving

I went instore to buy one and it was 199. Told it was an online offer only.

good price for a new one, for a second I thought this was the 2013 one! X)

Order not going through keep saying unable to process due to error in system

Seems to be working fine for me, but I didn't order... Will wait for the new one to come down in price lol....:P

Is the new one even out yet ?

Better to wait for the new Nexus to drop in price, voted hot as some might be keen on the older model

No sd card slot, cold.

Does anyone know if the 16GB version has been reduced please?

It hasn't.

What has having no SD slot have to do with whether this price is a good deal for the product or not? *shakes head*

Despite nearly all reviews in existence getting lost on the way to mentioning maps it does have GPS.

Don't you ever get bored trolling tech threads?

Take some time off ya nutter.

The micro SD card slot has been rendered useless by google/androids updates of the OS.

Unless the unit is rooted then nothing can be saved to an external SD card, so this not having a slot makes no difference to the heat that this deal deserves! As long as the 32Gb is fully usuable by the OS then its far better than having an 8Gb unit with a SD card slot.

I'm afraid I am going to have to vote cold. £150 is way to much for this considering refurb models which are as new are going for £120-ish.

The new Nexus 7 has a 1080p screen, 2gb RAM, faster processor and none of the lag/problems with this model. The 1080p screen alone is worth spending the extra £50 for the new model.

Followed link via mobile phone, and once at checkout it shows as part of clubcard boost. placed the order but didn't double the points so have sent email to tescodirect...hopefully they sort it out :-/

Can you find a cheaper brand new Nexus 7 32GB 2012 model? I thought not.

Incorrect. You can download the Nexus Media Importer App from the Play store. Then get an OTG cable and then you can save to/play from a USB memory stick or SD card via adapter. Works a treat

In honesty, I expected these to cost less. I paid £160 in December.

Honestly did you?

Hard to decide between this deal and this deal on the Hisense Sero 7 Pro 32GB - advantages of the Hisense are MicroSD and HDMI and £10 cheaper...

Thoughts anyone?

These should get the OTA Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update too. Mine (although it's the 3G version) already has.

Thanks ! best price currently available new.

The hisense sero 7 is now £139 from ebuyer. It also has hdmi out and would work great with xbmc.

Personally dont have a Nexus 7, but great price so heat added.

"The new Nexus 7 has a 1080p screen.........".

It is another £80+ to pre-order the 32GB 1080p one, plus the screen is 720p. There are dismal offerings without GPS selling for far more out there.

I've never heard of the HIsense Sero so can't comment. But the Nexus 7s, even these 2012 models, are a quality bit of kit. The lack of SD card is a bit of a pain but, as someone else has pointed out, it's very easy to work round that using a OTG cable. Made by ASUS, specified by Google so it's as "pure" an Android experience as you can get. The screen is fab.

WRONG! Unless you can tell everyone where these 32GB models for £120-ish are, since they've not been this price on HUKD.

WRONG! New 32GB model is £239 so that's £80-90 more (depending on voucher), not £50.

WRONG! Don't know what about, just sayin

I'm trying to decide on a tablet. I'm tempted by the new Nexus 7, but I wish it had an SD card slot, so I'm not sure if I can justify paying more for a device that doesn't have everything I want. The other devices I was looking at were the Hisense Sero Pro and Asus Memo Pad HD 7 (which is available for under £120!). Does anyone have any experience or advice on any of these products?

Thanks in advance and heat added for the price!

WRONG! the new Nexus has much better specs than the old one (obviously)

OhEss

You can use OTG cable to plug in flash drives, so not really much of a need for sd card.

thank you op. was looking for a good price heat added

Had one and won't buy another, absolute crap, slow , hard to update, lots of apps aren't full screen..I hope the new version is better..beware it's cheap for a reason!

There was a previous deal for as new Nexus 7 for £110 for a 16gb model.

LINK: hotukdeals.com/dea…119

All content is practically available and streamed online now so 16gb is more than manageable. Also don't forget the OTG USB cable for plugging in external devices to the nexus.

If you are desperate for a tablet, cannot handle less than 32gb and must have it new and sealed this is a good deal.

Personally I would take a 16gb 2013 Nexus 7 that costs £199 over this 32gb or just simply save £40 and go for the 16gb model.

Yes, it has full USB access. iPad USB is mainly available for security services malware.

My plain old Nexus 7 has received the 4.3 Jelly Bean over the air update. £149 for a new 2012 32GB Nexus 7 is a great deal. Yes, the new one has a better spec but it's £90 more and there is nothing wrong with the current model IMO. It will do all you need it to do for years to come. Hot

Well this will update to Andriod 4.3 (mine has) and will be first to get Key Lime Pie (Andriod 5.0) Samsung and other devices tend to lag behind Google releases as hardware vendors want you not to upgrade but buy new kit!

That said my Nexus 4,7, and 10 are on 4.3 bit miffed that it broke MX Player Pro (DTS MKV) limping along with VLC nightly but I'm sure the MX Player folk will update their app. If you want external device support SD card reader (SD / Micro SD) with FAT and NTFS support get an OTG cable (£1 odd on ebay) and the app Nexus media importer as has been mensioned then you can stream or save content from external devices (no write capabilties) no need to root your device either.

The new N7 has HDMI out I believe and a great screen 300+DPI like the N10

Argos on Ebay sell a refurb N7 (2012) 23gb 3G for £160odd (£3 postage) I got one of these it comes with a 12 month "Argos warantee" mine looked like new. Would not power up - Had to reset it power on and vol up a few times then it started working fine...
