not sure if this is 3g

why put it in the title then? oO

What's the telegraph deal you reference? The link just takes you to the argos site where it's 179??

There's also P&P to add. A bit of a lazy listing here, please feel free to fill it out a little.

Cheers.

The 159.99 16gb version without 3g mentioned in the title has a description mentioning connecting when out of wireless range but this one with 3g in the title has no mention.
The fact the price was 199.99 makes me think this is probably just the plain wifi 32gb model.

A decent deal at £159 if it was 3g but without the 3g the price probably makes it more worthwhile waiting for the new model even if you have to take the 16gb instead of 32gb to get anywhere near 179.99

Google Nexus 7 32GB 3G - stated clearly on the Argos listing.

You should remove the doubt from yours!

want the nexus 10

I don't see why there's doubt. As Quadrille said, it's clearly stated on the Argos page that this is the 3G version, which I'd think is a price that makes sense since the new model has been announced.

This might just get super hot if right. So, as long as this (1) gets honoured, and (2) the telegraph voucher is ok to use on electronic items (sometimes exempt), then this might just be the deal of the week. I got the nex 32gb wifi only, for 149 and its a belter. Would have gone for this intead though if true. Heated.

Think it might be a mistake on the Argos listing as they have another listing for the 32GB 3G version at £239.99 therefore I think this deal is for the 32GB wifi only model. Checking stock in my local store, they have 1 of the £179.99 models available but 2 of the £239.99 which leads me to believe they have misdescribed this one.

EAN/MPN/UPC/ISBN: 4716659260691 is for the 1st Gen 16GB Wifi only

i got 10% off voucher so will try mu luck tomorrow just reserved 2 thanks op

removed my doubt til its proved wrong?

I think best course of action is to get in early doors tomoz, stuff the voucher, they will notice the mistake by the time the voucher is in the hand. Good price for 3g without the discount,,,argh decisions, decisions?

No SD card slot... cold

personally i think you will get the wifi only version it seems like there is a mistake on the title on argos website. part number listed clearly is for wifi version only if you check the web

even if they put the price up, will they have to honour the reserved price?

No. The price you pay is the one they charge at the till. Many years ago they used to have amazing deals after closing time, often on Sundays, that had mysteriously gone up in price in store the next day.

Quite a few bargain sites ended up banning Argos deals for this and also the phantom stock issue (eg top of the range DVD player for £25 but no stock in the UK).

Confused. Looks like it might be a typo. (spent some time in australia).

Where did you get the 32gb wifi only for £149? Looking to buy one and £149 is a decent price for the 32gb wifi only as I think the Argos deal is a typo. Cheers.

It's not an ipad

(I like to help the community)

definitely wrong title on argos website. surely worth arguing?

You wsnt 4g at least

reserved item till tomorrow, hope can get the telegraph voucher and used against this

got one reserved.....thanks op

Reserved mine, and gonna see what happens. Quite clearly says 3G. Even the Argos catalogue number 814/1222 takes you to 3G listing.

Not sure how consumer rights works, but if I've ordered something online based off the listing, then the item given is something different, surely I'm entitled to the item I've ordered. Also with Argos you actually have to pay for it first before they bring it to you from the warehouse. Not like PC World or Asda where you take it to the till. I'm paying for the item I reserved. Should be interesting.

agreed I have reserved 1 but waiting for someone to confirm they will honour it. I dont want to waste my time

For those going to try this tomorrow (myself included), please update this thread as soon as you can with level of success, i.e. is it the 3G one, and does the Telegraph voucher work with it. May save wasted time (and money on a paper) for others. Cheers.

The 3G version part number is 814/0728, not the one on this listing. Argos will give the part number which corresponds to this page (814/1222) on Argos website. The title may be wrong but that would not matter to the company.

My point is if you are reserving and ordering based off what the website says, which is all you can do, and you get to the till and pay without being told of any errors, then surely I haven't been sold or paid for the item that I reserved.

That's my point and argument.

And if you search for part number 814/1222 on the Argos website, it clearly states Nexus 7 32gb 3G. That's what I've reserved. As a consumer I can only reserve based off the catalog that I see online.

EAN numbers are same for both the one in the deal and for the item number you have quoted. Worth a punt atleast.

HOT. I have reserved one and will collect tommorow. It isnt any use to me if it is not 3G though so I am keen to see whether there is a typo on the website.....
The tricky thing is whether its worth the £2 for the telegraph considering in all liklihood it is not 3G.

Yeah just looked at this as well. Did a search on the Argos website using the EAN number only 4716659260691, and it brings up both entries for a 32gig 3g Nexus 7

what about reserving one and going instore today and asking to view it before purchase .... Then when they bring it out have a look on box and then see if its 3g or not . Then say sorry I will leave it and then go back tomorrow and get it or not bother if its not 3g.

I would go in myself but iam in france at moment!

Which is weird because when you google search the EAN code, results are for a 16GB non-3g version. I'm going to get them to show me the goods first before buying. I cant be doing with a non 3g.

That's not a reason to make the deal cold, Nexus devices generally don't have SD card expansion. Rate the deal not the product!
