The screen problems are for the XL 2 and not the standard Pixel 2. Please retract your comment unless you have new evidence to support your claims.

Great price for this phone, haven't seen any cheaper, even over the BF/CM weekend

Negative . Screen problems . No displayport alt mode , no micro sd slot, cannot be used as computer like Samsung , LG or Huawei. Big Bezels . No wireless charging

This has flopped hard hasn't it?

Great phone spec wise but it's amazing how dated it looks because of those bloody bezels.

If onlt the code would work on the Pixel2 XL

Same screen problems apply to all OLED.

Whilst a tiny bit more so for the Pixel 2, it was seized on by the same as usual media 'story writers'.
To me, over £500 is still too much for 'top end'.

Hot in that it is approaching sensible price territory.

What a screen problem, blue tint? Note 8 has as well and s8 has a pink one.

Just noticed the 1080p screen. Might be Amoled but it is still a decidedly cheap midrange screen.

At this size anything more would be overkill, just got my OP5T today and I can't see a single pixel despite it being 1080p at 6"

Non removable battery, no micro sd and no headphone socket make it a complete no for me -shame as great specs otherwise. Could just live with non removable battery as its a decent size (wonder how much it costs to replace though)

But no micro sd is just plain silly and a retro step . - Samsung learnt that from Note 5 and remedied going forward. ... and they have kept the headphone socket..

Don’t these have screen problems?

Same price at Carphone warehouse which is part of the same group but they offer free next day delivery with DPD including Saturday and Sunday. They also send an sms with a 1 hour time slot so you can plan your day.

Currys next day is around £4.00 and only free if selecting 3-5 working days. Can't see anything where they mention sending a message with a time slot so you might have a long wait in on delivery day.

Way overpriced money making machine for Google.

The unique selling points of this are the camera app and the stock android. However the camera app can be installed on other flagships and installing a stock desktop app gives many of the stock android features.

nice one op, no concerns for storage of pics and video with this of course..

Way too expensive for the spec and tiny 5 inch screen.

IPhone just got it's first above 1080p screen this year on the £1000 min iPhone X. The smaller iphone has been just a little above 720p and the massive 5.5" Plus was there only 1080p phone.

You can suck the big bezels if no display problem in yours.

Upgraded to this from a HTC one m8 and absolutely love it , not bothered about bezels as I watch majority of content on a 1440p tablet , buttery smooth, amazing battery life and camera is ridiculously good, hope this lasts me 3 years like my HTC did

good deal, i got the pixel 2 from CPW , they mistakenly gave it me for £540. very nice phone, no screen probs, very very very fast, love the design (its flat and not a samsung) whilst some people like the curved bevelly edgy-ness that seems to be the craze, im sick of it, the slippery bar of soap design is shite. The screen is extremely good on the pixel 2, whilst granted it could of had expandable storage, ive had it a week now and will not be going back to samsung.........

I dropped into the EE store the other day and held the phone and couldn't believe how cheap and tacky it looked compared to other phones. The back of the phone especially,I'm a fan of the phone because I have the Pixel XL,for a high end phone I thought the build would be far better.

The screen is of main importance to me. Having used the word Tabphone for tablets with phone ability, I was surprised to see it first used in a review to describe the first Note, with its ginormous tablet like 5.3" screen!

Aside from the huge bezels (which really put me off), the display is absolutely on point for colour, white point, sunlight legibility etc.

I do think Google should have kept inline with this year's design philosophy of more screen but no sloped edge nonsense (Galaxy S8).

Flopped? It's only just come out! Lol

I love the way you bezels Nazis harp on like you're all experts and yet, tell me, how was the Xiaomi Mi Mix last year when you bought one? You what? You didn't? But surely all other phones after that point look dated with, "those bloody bezels".

One Plus isn't a premium tier phone though. It is an almost-there phone to satisfy more price conscious people who don't want to pay hundreds extra for marginal gains.

This however is meant to be the best on offer phone, but falls short in a few departments on that front.

I agree it will be difficult to 'see pixels' at 1080p, but when I moved to a phone that was 1440p I was actually shocked to find you could tell the difference. I wasn't expecting any because of how clean and clear a 1080p phone is, but suffice to say I could tell.

Best phone I've ever had. Software is incredible. Camera sensational. Not arsed about the bezels. Best phone on market by distance so can accept a few bits of black glass

How much is the first pixel pay as you go
