Just spotted this on Mobiles.co.uk.

Not sure if this an error or not, but you can get a Google Pixel 2 64GB in black or white for cost on a 2 year contract for a total of £547 after an upfront cost of £115 (using code VC10OFF).

£18 per month for 24 months.

This is like getting a Google Pixel 2 on interest free for 2 years.

Yes the data is dreadful, but you can give the sim away to a member of your family as you get unlmited mins and texts for 2 years. albeit only 1GB data per month.

Phone should be unlocked.

Potential £40 Quidco cashback. £507 total cost if Quidco pays out.

Quickly getting voted cold but actually a good way of getting this phone for a good price whilst also spreading the cost even if the SIM is never used

Very good deal for a light user.. Heat!
Hot from me
Quidco too? Could potentially make it even cheaper. Does anyone know if mobiles.co.uk are decent to pay out?

I don't get the cold votes. Thought this would be smoking hot for anyone wanting a Pixel 2.

I voted hot.

Thing is its a funny deal. Most people wanting the pixel will want more data which means they're either looking at a bolt on or dumping this contract and getting a sim only. I get the argument to just treat this as 2 year finance which is fair enough, but you can pick up the 128gb version for £547

Cheers for posting though cus Im sure this will help someone.

I'm holding out for either an S8 or Pixel at £450.
For a light user it's undeniably a good deal.. just for the sim contract if it's say worth £5 a month, x24 is £120 effectively giving you the phone for £430ish..
Try VC15OFF for £15 off, worked yesterday
I took out a deal similar to this early January. It was £100 upfront with £17.99 per month. I have the sim to my dad as 1GB is enough for him. TBC also paid out at £35.35 which brought it to £496.

Well worth it if you can give the sim to a family member. Otherwise the carphone warehouse deal is better if you already have a sim only deal.
They do that thing where the photos fire up to the cloud with the pixel, don't they? Free unlimited cloud photo storage. I wonder though, if I can set that to be only over wifi. I read that Google Photos on occasion does an unexpected major updump over 4g. Would be a problem with only 1Gb data. I'm a light user but also one of life's worriers.
Did the similar EE deal and it has worked out great. The best part was because EE do my broadband I was able to get an extra 5GB free making the Data enough!

Default setting is WiFi only for upload.
Definitely a solid deal but don't like being forced into 24 month contracts 😥 It's nice to be able to sell phones on while they still have value and upgrade for not much more. I'm hoping i'll be able to wait till the new google pixel releases and catch this once the price plummets
Thanks for this

I guess you missed the Amazon Germany deal for the S8 that was posted a few days ago? It was £449. Great price.

Absolutely fine to buy the phone from Amazon Germany/Spain/Italy.

I've purchased two S8+ from Italy and other phones from Amazon Germany and Spain without issues. Warranty and insurance is fine too.

You can flash UK (BTU/XEU) firmware via Odin. It doesn't trip Knox or invalidate warranty and it takes ~10mins to flash/install once you have Odin and the firmware downloaded from SamMobile.

Unfortunately I missed it, when I checked it had gone back up in price. Hopefully something will come up in the next week or so.
Do you still get VAT deducted from the total contract cost if you cancel a Vodafone contract early? If so, another potential £86 saving if you cancel and pay off the contract as soon as the phone arrives. Not sure they still deduct the VAT, though - they did last time I left them early about five years ago.
Does anyone know how much Vodafone charge for an extra, say, 4gb a month / could I upgrade to a different monthly plan?

2GB is £10 according to this page vodafone.co.uk/exp…as/
Wow, voted hot from me, I'd snap this up if you're in the market for it, as I can't see it lasting long guys.
Assuming they can be had for the same price on 4GB, this or LG V30? - V30 is £100 upfront and £23 a month for 4gb.

Edit - actually, I can see that the Pixel 2 can be had for £80 upfront on 4GB for £23p/m with Vodafone, decisions decisions

Well, on the same page as this deal, they have a 4gb plan for £23 per month for 24 months, total cost £627, still not a bad deal.
I went for the Pixel 2 XL from mobiles this week, total 747 (-10 for code, -30 TCB = 707) for 4GB.
Does Wifi calling work with this?

Genius! You're absolutely right - see vodafone.co.uk/cs/…pdf

The formula is Monthly line rental charge (exc. VAT ) X remaining contract (months) X 98%

This means with the £18/month plan, if you cancel it immediately, you'd be paying £453 in total. There's another cheaper tariff where the handset is £15/month and £140 upfront after the £10 coupon. This would mean your total is £422. I'd suggest waiting until Quidco pays out before paying off the plan to be sure of another £40 saved!
1gb? wow that is pathetic. Surely 3gb has to be the safe minimum for most people these days.

There's a contract showing up now for £15 a month with an upfront cost of £150 (down to £140 w/ code)

Works out at £500 all in all.

Might want to add it to the post
