It has A10 since last October or so btw. Support for 1st gen ended then, so logically 2nd gen 1 year later

Says minimum not that it won't be supported after that date

They can change their policy (they did already, extending 1st gen support to 3 OS upgrades) but as it is, it'll finish in October for 2nd gen
Thanks for posting! The voucher also makes for a hot price on the 3a. OP - you want to post, or should I?

Yeah I also love Pixel phones, beta testers will be able to get A11 soon, maybe already, I'm not one of them, don't like bugs. Your Nexus is gathering dust long ago. Now Pixel phones get 3 OS upgrades, things changed last year. Unfortunately, not 4-5 years like iPhones.

Google could still do better, my 2016 Pixels still very usable on A10, actually a pleasure to use although navigation gestures not as advanced as 2nd gen, & hardware not as good
Shame they're not getting anymore security, can't use them for banking, shopping etc

So, 3 years of os update and no extra year of security updates? I think banking can be safety use in bank app, even 1-2 years after support finish.
I wouldn't touch hitechelectronics with a barge pole. 12 month Warranty they offer is worthless beyond the period of eBay buyer protection/PayPal protection as there is no way of getting them to honour it. They will use every excuse imaginable to squirm out of warranty claims/repairs. I bought a Google pixel grade b on a previous deal which stopped working after 6 months they refused to repair due to there being a couple of cosmetic scratches on the case (present when purchased and not connected to problem with phone). They still haven't returned phone to me and ignore all messages. Avoid at all cost..

Was tempted but am not prepared to accept that kind of service. Many thanks Lily-tom08 for the info.
Hello there, precarious potential purchaser here so, in regards to this hi tech electronic - are they really bad? Risk of deal is it seems too good to be true...

You may as well try, if you get lucky there will be some warranty left with Google Directly (as it's grade A I assume it would be rather new) and if it's a tat then just send it back. eBay and PayPal will have your back for 6 months I believe. I am considering buying one too as a spare, it's a great phone especially for pictures.

In terms of OS updates it will get Android 11 as it is part of the developer preview available to pixel 2 and pixel 2 XL. It will not get Android 12 probably but will get the security updates up until then.

You're right, you do get 180 days protection from paypal. However it's worth buyers using eBay etc being aware of difference between manufacturer and seller warranties before making expensive purchases. Manufacturer warranty should be ok but even if seller advertises there own 12 months warranty it is reliant on their honesty and t&cs whether they will honour it. There are a lot of crooks on eBay who take advantage and there is a risk of geting no support after the buyer protection runs out (unless you are able to go via trading standards or small claims court). You would may get additional protection if credit card is used rather than pp.
all gone

Good points. I do think that on a purchase like this (<£85) it is well worth the risk, but of course each to their own.

Correct. Prefer not to take risks, got other phones up-to-date on security
Does this get the astro photo app or is that only later models?
Mine arrived yesterday. Accubattery estimates battery health at 50% Does that mean it's toast?
had mine a few days, i love it, but the battery is Accubattery 70%, and when im doing anything on the phone you can see the percentage going down, its gonna have to go back...boohoo
