*edit* price has dropped to & 499 thanks and kudos to @b1g1an

And @danflorin3

Seems to be only available in the white.

Don't know if this is some kind of pricing mistake, because the 64gb doing this deal is £559, but if you want one of these, then do this now.

Grab £35 cashback at topcashback (confirmed worked)

Take out the contract with cpw, pay £499 for the 128gb model, cancel the sim within 14 days by ringing the network direct, no need to contact cpw.

Paying in theory £464 for a brand new pixel 2 xl 128gb.

Ring the network not carphone.

Don't use the sim, ring from a different number and don't activate the sim, or they may charge you for month one.

Any questions you may have, either I, or the lovely people that have done this deal and are still reaping the rewards will reply.

Cracking price, especially for the 128gb version. Heat!

Sounds like I might have been unlucky, but I tried this on a 12 monther via CPW and O2 earlier this year and the experience was nothing but a huge faff. Rang O2 directly and they said they cancelled. Didn't when I checked up a week later. Then said I needed to speak with CPW. CPW advised they'd cancelled, O2 then took money. O2 said CPW hadn't cancelled. O2 then cancelled, but didn't refund full money taken. Took a few more calls to O2, and about 8 weeks all in to get full money back.

And then after all that I ended up sending the 2 XL back after being disappointed with the screen. Hope others have better luck!

I normally do the 12 months. I leave the sim in to see if signal has been cut off, that way i know if 02 have cancelled, if its not cut off by next day, i call 02 again and they do it straight away mostly 1st time and in some cases second time.

Having second thoughts as I assume when you cancel it will affect your credit rating etc?

Any one know about that?

Nope, credit rating is only affected when you don't pay canceling fees.
Nice as long as it doesn’t affect your credit rating. However pixel 3 will be coming out in October so may as well wait now.
Very clear and informative description of another great dea

How bad were the screen issues?

How bad were the screen issues?

Well I went through 2 of them and still wasn't happy, but I'm incredibly picky and I'm coming from a reasonably modern phone with an excellent AMOLED screen.

1st one had the infamous blue tint often mentioned in reviews and the bottom third of the screen was noticeably brighter than the top two thirds. 2nd one better in both respects but still not perfect and a bit grainy on lower brightness settings. Decided it wasn't worth the £600 or so at the time, and waiting for the Pixel 3 XL now.

I do wonder whether newer batches are better in this respect, but in my opinion the P-OLED used by LG in this is definitely inferior to Samsung's AMOLED screens.

Can't seem to find it for this price. Got a link?

I found it for £509 with O2, but that's a 12 month contract, not 1 as stated in the thread title. Have the deals changed or am I just not looking in the right place?
Fixed the misprice, well done to anyone who got it at that price

Make sure you choose the 128gb model on 12 month as it is cheaper than the 64gb.

When you click on the 'view bundles' button it goes back to the 64GB version, click 'change phone' top left and select the 128 and colour you want, then the 12 month deals will show and it's a tenner cheaper this morning.

Was tempted to post it again as my own but I'm not that mean

I had been resisting all the 2 XL deals until it bottoms out, currently using my CPW £125 5X, but mentioned it to my 18 year old whose had one for ages and he bullied me into it ...God I'm weak

Just checked and back up to £549 on the Vodafone 1 month plan.
This or the LG G7 Thinq? I prefer the size of the LG but not sure if it's worth the extra money. I went into my local CPW yesterday for advice and was told to go and read online reviews!
