Besides people living in the big cities I wonder how long it will take for 5G to go more rural. We went on holiday with friends and my mate has the Pixel 3, I must say the camera on it is amazing.
How much of it speed increase is th SD 855, is it light years ahead of the SD845. Will the average person notice a difference.
It could be a mistake but I don't feel like I have to worry about 5G for my next phone but the one after will probably be different.

I'm just waiting for the Pixel 3 XL to go under £500 and that should suit me for a couple of years. Fed up with Samsung's apps they shove in your phone by default

Got a pixel 3xl and when it works it's great but had it replaced once as it was faulty and now been waiting over 3 weeks for a resolution on the replacement they sent out which is faulty too. Terrible customer service and so far each one I've had has developed faults very quickly

But it's not cheap either. Very soon all phones will be 5G like it happened before with 4G and 3G and you will realise, you wasted your money.

Couldn't get this deal with the Pixel 3 XL 64GB. Best I got was:
One-off cost: £70
Monthly Device Cost: £10.50
Monthly Airtime Cost: £28.00
Data: 15GB
Contract Length: 36 months
O2 Live Chat Promo Code: £70 off
Total Cost: (10.50*36)+28=£406

However, I may get a further £80 cashback via Topcashback

Hope the above helps someone else.

If I'm reading it right...
Its....

£10.50 x 36
+
£28 x 36
=
£1,386
Minus £70
Minus £80
=£1,236 total cost?

Or is it the rolling 30 day, so just one payment of £28?

I'm planning on cancelling the contract as soon as possible, so believe I only have to pay £28 once to keep the device, unless I have mis-read the whole O2 Refresh deals. I already have an EE sim only contract.

Taking delivery Monday, will settle device plan fairly soon, essentially getting the phone for £450.

I'm gonna be selling it when the Pixel 4 is released

MrSwitch of all people...

it's just £10.50*36, you pay it in full and cancel the airtime

How much did you pay? Cheers

£378

Managed to pay £378 after paying off the device in full, however like a few other people O2 wanted me to give 30 days notice for the Airtime. After I mentioned that I had a live chat where the advisor told me that I won't pay this charge they removed the 30 days notice as a goodwill gesture.

Not sure whether it is possible but suggest that people pay the device off when taking out the contract, so you are only paying for Airtime from Day 1. From what the representative I spoke to implied, if this had been done then I could cancel the Airtime within the 14 days and keep the device.
