Beautiful display

Making every photo, video and app look amazing, the Pixel has a Full HD AMOLED screen to make every detail sharper than ever.

With a 12.3 megapixel main camera and 8 MP front facing camera, you can capture every moment in beautiful detail. Focus in on the details with an 8x digital zoom and laser detection autofocus, which lets you make sure that every photo is clear and perfectly framed.

Powerful processing

Featuring Android's brand new system Nougat, the Pixel lets you enjoy all the best features from this popular OS. With Nougat you can use two languages at the same time while texting, run two apps side by side and play games with high-performance graphics.

Powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 821 chip, you can enjoy high quality quad-core processing, for efficient power and super-fast download speeds. Able to rival other high-end smartphones in terms of power and processing, the Pixel has 4 GB of RAM, so that you can run multiple apps without having to deal with buffering or lag.

Functional features

Supporting fast charging and quick data transfers, USB-C is perfect for getting your phone charged back up, and all from a tiny port.

Able to last for over 14 hours with frequent use, the Pixel has a huge battery that can handle a huge 26 hours of talk time.

Daydream VR

Compatible with Google's new Daydream VR Headset, the Pixel lets you bring your favourite apps to life, with a completely new virtual reality format. Using the intuitive controller and comfortable headset, you can explore games in a unique way and enjoy immersive VR content.

When its below the old nexus prices of £300 I'll grab one Shame they never carried on the range, top tech but affordable.
Nice phone but 2770 mAh is just not enough these days!
Sad to say as it is, the only phone that keeps it resale value is from Apple. I am never spending £500 on a phone again.

What new phone would you buy for under £500 now?
Maybe the price dropped because its successor is to be announced in a couple months.

Is there much difference? John Lewis has iphone 6s and Samsung s7 at about £500 just now. Ebay has ip6 / Samsung s6 both at £160-200.
SD 821, 1080P Screen, 2700 mAh Battery, 5" Screen, 32GB non expandable memory. Thanks. Voted Cold. Don't want to encourage another apple in making.

One Plus 3T, I got mine for about £380, was from ebay so not brand new. The Honor 8 Pro for £475.

Only phone right now if the pixel and I just don't like it. Paying more than 300 for a phone a crazy nuts. Apple I don't like because of the lock down system and the likes of Samsung and LG's version of android ( all that bumff they put on top of it) sucks and the security patches are few and far between compared to Google.

Fingers crossed my Nexus 5x last a little longer

Your 5x & my 6p will both get Android 8.0 (I'm running the beta, it's pretty good) in September this year, but only 12 months of security patches after that.
