Definitely a good upgrade yes

Sorry man

The last three phones I've got have been deals you've posted...so I'm going to let you off . Cheers!

Probably because there are free digital radio apps which are better?

I'm guessing you have to use data/internet to use the apps though? I prefer just being able to listen to the radio without necessarily having to be connected to the internet. I try to not use internet connection/data wherever possible. Sorry, I'm just a bit of a luddite

Huh, why?

No idea unless I already hit heat without realising
Great price! Looks like they’re discounting to offset people holding off for the 4a (like me).

The 6s is old so this will be faster. Even many sub £100 Android phones are now extremely fast.
Unfortunately there is no SD slot in this phone making it unsuitable for many people.

Regarding the 4a. Well that is fue out in mid May, 3 months away. And being 5g, expect a price rise.

This has 64gb storage and unlimited storage on google photos of upto 16MP image (this phone takes 12MP images). So this is phone has more than enough storage for the majority.
Cloud storage for video is not always apt.
That's better OP, this HAS to go down further in price - lovely thing
Ive had my Google Pixel 2 for almost 3 years and on Friday the battery was loosing charge fast and contiunes. Usually I could charge every other day but 2 days in a row now had to charge twice (from 100 to 15).

I think the battery has finally had it. V tempted by this!

I got my wife a 3a as she broke the screen on her 2 and the repair cost (£120) wasn't worth it given the value of the phone. The battery life on the 3a is miles better than the 2. The actual battery capacity is not that much greater so it must be more efficient hardware that's the reason.

That said, if your battery is suddenly dropping charge whereas previously it was fine, it could be a software issue so worth ruling this out before pulling the trigger on a new phone.

That was my thought though the last app I download was about 6 weeks ago but, could have had an update. Checkec the battery usage and was only 2 apps running and combined used 8% which was trange as the graph had a massive decline in the line :/

im trying to remember when the last security update was, perhaps that was the cause.
Voted hot! Not getting on with the software on my Mix 3 5G - tempted to return this and get the Pixel, but not sure if I'd miss the hardware on the Mix 3...

The standard battery stats are practically useless. Try something like wakelock detector or better battery stats to get a better view of usage.

A straight line of decline suggests there is something keeping the phone awake.

You could also try running in safe mode for a few hours to see if the issue persists. If you don't have the issue in safe mode, then a third party app is the culprit.

If you're anything like me, you'd miss the processor.
Only thing putting me off this phone is that it appears to not have an FM radio built in. Is this true? Why build a decent phone but then not bother putting an FM radio in? My crappy phones from the past several years always managed an FM radio built in ready to use.

If she needs storage then don't bother with this as it's only 64gb with no expandable storage
Does anyone know if WiFi calling works for this phone on Three?
Hot ..great phones especially the amazing camera.

Thanks. I don't do anything that demanding, but things do seem to load nice and quickly on the Mix...

That is a very niche use case, especially as a lot of phones had a bad enough fm radio that they wouldn't get a decent signal unless you were in an area likely to have a good data connection too. You could buy a cheap MP3 player with radio built in, if you've got limited data or are often in areas with no phone signal/WiFi? Personally I download podcasts to save data when off WiFi...

Thanks for the reply. I think I may have to look at other options around the price range with a good camera and FM capability built in. I can't be bothered with carrying around an extra device just for the radio. I think Xiaomi do some pretty similar efforts so will carry on having a look. You have reminded me to download some podcasts though. Thanks
The code won't work for the purpleish one Any other codes or shall I just go black?
Never liked the 3a since release but at this price it's not bad. I'd shop around to see if you can get any Chinese brands for a little bit more but much better specs!
Just to mention I recently bought an amazon tablet from Currys and the seal on the box was open. Upon inspection there was a dead pixel too. Their customer care told me it standard to put opened items which are not obviously damaged "back on the shelf".

Unless you want to pay £299, then yep!
I have this phone and this is my opinion of it.

Pros:
+Battery lasts full day on casual use (social media apps) ends at about 30%
+Pictures are great quality (Can keep up with most cameras)
+Unlimited online storage (up to 16mb photos)
+CPU is fast enough for apps + most games (I haven't had lag issues yet)
+Quick charging between from 30 to 80%
+Good Value for money
+google integration is great

Cons:
-Video quality is terrible and it crops it
-screen to size ratio is pretty bad (massive forehead and chin)
-Screen res is ok
-Speakers are ok
