I'd get the cheese over this, but I'd get this over the p30 pro, I'd also get the p30 pro over the cheese, but also I'd get some apple wood cheese and choose that over everything, even my family.
Hope this helps in your cheese buying confusion

I'm not saying this is a generic comment, but every pixel 4 deal I've posted has had someone who says exactly what you've said, food for thought maybe

Peace out!

Great phone but the battery life is not good compare to the 4XL

(Had owned the 4 but changed to 4XL) big difference in battery life and screen.
Got the unlocked grade B from CEX last week. Returning as it doesn't even turn on! Not a scratch on it though

Are you sure it doesn't just need charging up?

Tried charging it and it just repeatedly flashes a white screen with 'Google' written in the middle. Keeps flashing, doesn't turn on lol. Odd

The white "Google" screen is what you should see when turning the phone on. Sometimes it'll take a bit longer, though, if the phone has just had a software update for example. It sounds like you got unlucky in this case and would be best returning it for a refund or replacement as you have said you're doing

Yeah that screen just keeps flashing though instead of turning on and getting past the white Google bit. Yeah will have to return, not too fussed as just got it to sell on. Good thing I tried starting it before selling it!

You can get an unlock code from ebay or have a local phone shop do it for you. That's how I got my 2nd hand S10 on EE unlocked
Too hot for me, I could buy a OP for this kind of money. Too many gimmicks to go wrong, and you have to watch out for that bit rot thing Android Authority mentioned.
Android 10 has taken the P30 Pro to a different level and the P40 should bring camera app imorovements to their new colour science.( I still wished they had kept the monochrome lens though)
Keep the deals coming though MrSwitch, once the Samsung's get unwrapped next week prices will tumble.

Not with pixels you can't. Pixels can't be unlocked with a code - they are like iPhones and have to be unlocked on the server directly by EE. And EE will not do it under any circumstances until the phone is 6 months old (and apparently not at all until 2 years if there is money owing).

So this CANNOT be unlocked for at least several months yet.

Yes because this is a generally slated phone. It has its good bits but even at £380 I wouldn't buy it, the good bits are the software updates and you get the best features Google roll out straight away. The photography is still the best Android can do, even missing the wide angle lens of other smartphones. Google really need to do way better with the Pixel 5 if they release another phone, this phone had pretty bad sales and hopefully will give Google a kick up the backside to do better, because they really have to. Also I know this phone would do my head in as I have many apps that need fingerprint unlock and aren't supported by the Face Unlock on this phone.

Pros :

Software
Photography
90Hz screen athough see cons

Meh:

Soli Radar - gesture based navigation, sounded great doesn't really do anything useful, solving a problem no one had.

Cons :

Dire battery, even the XL has a dire battery
Face Unlock only - no fingerprint, lack of app support
Lacks a wide angle camera
90Hz screen not active all the time, obviously no need for when you play videos but it still not on 100% of the time when needed.
Camera sensor not improved from the Pixel 3, only so much magic they can do with software
No variable aperture on the cameras
UFS 2.1 - Although you probably won't notice the difference between 2.1 and 3.0
Not the latest OLED panel

I'm a Pixel 2 user I need to upgrade as my phone has started to slow down and get a bit potatoey [might be a word, if it isn't you can't say I spelt it wrong] and the battery voltage drops and the phone will reboot at anywhere below 50% for a laugh. I really wanted to like the Pixel 4 and was eager to get another Pixel but this phone is a lame attempt.

Lastly it's a bad time to buy a phone. March is the next best time unless you're going for a cheapo phone, plenty of decent cheap ones about. Prices are about to tumble. I might get a used Xperia 5 but the fingerprint sensor may make me crazy.

Google seem to want to follow the Apple model of pushing software and running light on hardware. The only thing there is Apple realised they was on the road to disaster and changed up, adding hardware and bringing themselves inline with the Android leaders.
Google have gone to the well one more time thinking offering stock Android would sell devices, it never has and it never will. I spoted an article saying Google's hardware sales are still in freefall, what a surprise.

This price ain't bad though approaching half of what Argos have it up at and not even 6 months old yet, representive of the lack of interest or the condition I guess.

The Pixel line just doesn't do it for me, but I suppose will appeal to some.

Nah the Note 10+ is the best without really seeing what the Mate 30 Pro can do.

And this before we even go into sound, video and versatility.

Every Android phone more like, sony 5 800£ 6 months now 240 b condition
I'm usually Pixel lover. But had to return this just after 15 hours of purchase. The camera was really great and the size of the phone felt so good in hands. But the battery life put me off. I would recommend the XL version, but not this one.

You realised battery was crap after 15 hours... I don't account the first few days of a phone as I always spend more time on it setting it up and downloading crap,

Cex online orders get 14 days leway for money back

I remember people saying the Mi Mix 3 and MI9's batteries were too small at 3300mah, but Xiaomi optimaisations made them good enough.
We have far less capacity here with a 90hz screen and the radar gummits at 2800, this is far too small and not even half the capacity of the ROG 2 to put things in perspective.
Even the XL at 3700mah is crazy, when 1080p 60hz devices have 4000 mah.
Somebody at Google is paying far too much attention to the balance sheet.

Maybe I got one of the faulty ones ( I don't know). But the screen time was like just getting close to 3 hours. On top of that I had loud speaker issue on the phone, contacted Google, they said phone has to be replaced by another one which is gonna take 7-10 days. Overall I was upset with it, then just exchanged with OnePlus 7 Pro( Which I'm really enjoying though the camera is not as good as Pixel)
