Google will store your photos for free, for your other files they'd love you to pay a sub on YouTube, play video, music, etc.
was tempted by this phone previously but what put me off was the lack of headphone jack, smaller batter & lack of storage coupled with no sd card slot. For a similar price there are other options available that tick those boxes.
voted hot for price though & fine if none of the above matter to you

I have a pixel 4xl 128Gig

The headphone jack thing is no problem as an adaptor costs about £8
My XL gets about 1 1/2 days on a full charge, thats not bad at all. The Pixel 4 has a small battery.
128 Gig is loads of storage.

This phone is buttery smooth.
First phone to get Android updates.
No bloatware, mutiple apps that do the same thing or stupid Bixby

I've had lots of phones & this is by far the best for me.

And no finger print reader which the four banking apps I have need and for me is a deal breaker, which is a shame as I like the phone
Also, £23/m + £75 upfront. So £627 total. 4gb data

Google are forcing app developers to use the face unlock feature, so most app will be able to use it eventually.
I currently have the Pixel 2 which I managed to drop and smash up the screen the other week so am looking for an upgrade. I do really like the phone and the vanilla Android experience so the Pixel 4 'should have been' the default choice 2 generations on.

The small battery and the lack of a fingerprint reader are, like many others, a big concern for me. I've noticed that the battery on my current Pixel is not lasting anywhere near as long as it used to so I can only envisage how the the P4 battery might perform 18 Months down the line.

I'm very tempted by the Galaxy S10e deal on on the equivalent EE contract on the same site. With the Samsung cashback offer it's coming in at a very attractive £25.66 pm. My head is telling me the S10e is the better phone for my needs but my heart is calling out for the Pixel.

mmm... what to do

I have had face recognition but it's flaky at best, having the banking apps on finger print is brilliant. I can't see how Google are going to force companies to change their security protocols.
I bought Pixel 4 at launch and its a fantastic phone, would say it have a lot of features that other Android phones cant offer.

Squeeze for google
eSim ( i have added 2 esim and a physical sim at the moment but only 2 will be active at a time)
Spam call/text alerts
Auto recognise of business numbers which are already on google
Waterproof IP68
Wireless charger
Great camera
For me the battery last about 3 days( Have removed the unwanted apps and on battery save mode)

I was a iphone user for the last 9 years and does not regret switching to Pixel

The face recognition Google pixel phones and Apple use is very similar. No problems Apple and they have been using it for years

Yes but for this price it's the 64gb option. Hence my point for more storage & similar price other flagship devices available

Yep my phone has face recognition which works well when there is light, however my four banking apps that I must use 20btimes a day use finger print recognition makes this phone useless for me.

You will find Apple & Google don't use a standard camera to facially unlock the phone and they dont need normal light to work. They use a 3D array of IR dots

Face Unlock is designed to unlock the Pixel 4 much like Face ID unlocks modern iPhones, and the Pixel 4 is even using a 3D sensing camera similar to the iPhone X and later.

There are two Face Unlock IR cameras, an ambient light/proximity sensor, a Soli radar chip that powers Face Unlock and other features, a dot projector, and a Face Unlock flood illuminator.

Doesn't change the fact none of my four banking apps do face recognition but do finger print, therefore it's a deal breaker
