A B grade can be purely because the person hasn’t traded in the box or has used the earphones. In fact even a missing dongle will make it a B grade. It’s not necessarily been kicked down the street.

What the?! Did someone open the box, manically laugh and throw the phone out a window? It's been out days...

This. I've had several grade B devices (not phones) that have been almost like new, in some cases exactly like new

I bought an EE B grade Pixel 3 from the Sheffield store this year - not only was it *entirely* immaculate, it also already had a glass screen protector, all the box and completely unused accessories...and it was unlocked. Unusual but it goes to show that they’re not always consistent.
Trash phone imo
As a CEX employee, I can tell you that some of the grade b phones we get in are immaculate, but no boxes. Around 5% of grade b phones are like that though.

Can I ask you as you said you are a CeX employee, is it true what I have heard that CeX stores get people trying to sell stolen goods almost every day and being abusive when declined? I've never seen that happen in my local CeX stores but I don't go to them enough to know

It does happen, depends on the local people but unfortunately a bit of abuse is part and parcel of the job. We decline them immediately and customers can kick off.

When they become abusive do they just start swearing and threatening to do this, that and the other or simply complaining and demanding to speak to the manager etc? I suppose it is part and parcel of the job, as it would be at any store taking trade ins like GAME, Cash Converters etc

Most of the time it's asking for the manager, who says the exact same thing as me EVERY TIME. You get a few odd characters but telling them to sell else where usually works

I don't agree with that response, let me talk to the manager

Just kidding, but hey credit to you for putting up with it. I've seen how annoying some customers can be at CeX - checking the app / website on their phone and finding out what they want isn't in stock but still asking staff if it is for example, but I haven't seen people trying to sell stolen goods (yet)

Don't trust what it says we have in stock online.

I generally do as it's always accurate for me, but if it says what I want isn't in stock at my local stores I don't bother going to ask or check as I know some people waste their time doing

Can I also ask is it true that the interview process includes a toilet roll activity? I read something about that online somewhere

Okay. I think what I read was someone said the interview was basically a group interview writing skills down on toilet roll but I didn't know whether to believe it or not

Do you ever get the police involved as soon as it's likely to be realised it's a stolen phone?

Never.
Not sure why cold for the price, heat added. Unlikely it's been damaged much given release date anyway.
Buying at £336.
