Excellent!
Amazing price.
Hot.
The price it should be! Personally would go for the extra storage though, 64GB just now quite enough.

Well if ever there was a compliment to the grand mate 20X.
Camera on note Vs the 20x?

Better on the note, annoyingly slow overall. Video 1,000,000 times better on the note, you don't realise how bad Huawei do with video till you put it against something superior.
Do we think this will get cheaper on boxing Day?

I think this is just one of many pixel 4 price drops we'll see in the coming weeks.

Why is that? If you don't mind me asking? I am waiting for a good deal on note 10 :/
no fingerprint reader, small battery...I wouldn't pay 400 for it

Under screen fingerprint painfully slow/hit & miss, pictures take far too long to process, and after they have processed, the phone slows down for a millisecond as if readjusting. Just too slow for me, I prefer slick and snappy.

I get that not everyone will think like me, but coming from flagship processors to this, its just a different experience

Software

Yes and no, yes because they put the wrong processor in it, no because a software update in my opinion won't improve it.
This has been my phone since launch. Wasn't wise enough to wait until BF/Xmas for the price drop.
I switched from 2XL to 4XL. Top notch performance, software and camera. Battery tbh I don't find as bad as everyone says. It's on par with the 2XL imo, just average. But although i am a lifelong android user, if it wasn't for the astro-photography and superior night mode [gimmicky, i know], i would've bought the iPhone 11, which was cheaper when the 4XL launched.
All in all, at this reduced price, i would say go for it!
Switch...any reason you didn't mention the smaller one in your title. That's also down £150 to £519
Shame it's just black and white, really prefer a colour screen

Its the XL, so has a decent battery .. Phones don't have to have a finger print reader, just like Apple. World class camer's, Google voice on-board, first OS updates on any android phone, a phone recorder that also translates voice it into text and is amazing if you take notes. I can go on & on & on .. the 4XL is a great phone, just overpriced on release with an average battery.
lovely phone - just wish i could make the switch from iphone

Its difficult as most people will agree you tend to be locked into an Eco system as a lot of people have bought Apps, films etc. Also there is the learning another OS.
Indisputably the best device I've ever owned/used. Returned my Galaxy S10 5G for it (as usual with Samsung, went to crap after about a month of owning). This thing just doesn't slow down and the camera is phenomenal.

Can't recommend it enough.

LOL, I was owner of pixel2 so I know but pixel 4 is overpriced joke. No fingerprint reader, oh well htf I access bank accounts, yes I will type 10 different passwords each time
Worth paying £100 and getting a 128GB model?

i"ll be controversial here but this phone hardware is worth £349 tops, it's the software experience you pay for.

Google have made it easier for developers to use many Biometric devices, it just needs developers to start using them.

One Biometric API Over all Android .. Its a riveting read, if your a developer.

I’m really not sure. I think we may see £100 off at Google store with a Google Nest Hub but maybe I’m being optimistic...

Even if that was the case, worth going for this now right. Curry's a legit store and a solid price. Maybe even a chance of Quidco or topcashback? Anyone want to buy a OnePlus 7 Pro or Pixel 3 XL by any chance!?

I'd get the 64gb, I never fill a phones storage, I use no apps hardly, and back all my videos and photos on Google photos. Have Spotify so don't need to download music either. Obviously not everyone is like me of course
