sorted byI guess if you apply all the updates out of box and then hard reset you will have a decent phone.
Do your common unlock fingers twice and that speeds up the unlock. One thing I am really disappointed in is the lack of face unlock - this was a complete pain during the winter and when you are following a reciepe.
It's saving grace, as always is the camera, which is amazing, otherwise I would have immediately gone back to the Oneplus 8T
The Pixels have had a ton of bugs reported, Google fixed some with updates, but broke other stuff. There is no face unlock still (I believe ) and the fingerprint scanners are slow and inaccurate.
On the other hand Google has kept some Android features available only on their own phones. E.g. only the Pixels can do voice translation offline.
In terms of camera it's a mixed bag, but the Pixels are probably better than S21 and S22, except the Ultra variants.
This is the lowest price I've seen for both Pro and non-Pro, so good find
Have the Poco F3 at the moment and it's perfect (apart from an ok camera). Have not really had issues with no proximity sensor as always lock when not in use (as I do with all my previous phones automatically).

Pretty good deal for upgrading both our phones
Thanks @MrSwitch
Edit: the 5% off voucher expires today 15th of July, voucher available via Unidays...also Google Store discount expires 19th (edited)
Head over heart played a factor with the £599 Vs £849 also...
I can currently trade the 6 in for £420 which leaves a £190 gap (less than that at launch date). With the 7 not likely to upgrade the hardware, I don't see any huge gains and a fresh warranty could be a sensible move?
Anyone else regret being a cheapskate? (edited)
