  • The battery that follows your lead. Google Pixel's Adaptive Battery can last over 24 hours. It learns your favourite apps, so it doesn't waste power on the ones that you rarely use.
  • A camera that lets you express yourself.. Make faces look sharper with Face Unblur, take beautifully accurate photos of different skin tones with Real Tone and remove unwanted objects with Magic Eraser.
  • Google Tensor helps you get things done fast. Google Tensor makes Google Pixel 6a fast and responsive. Apps launch fast, pages and images load quickly, and everything runs smoothly
  • Pixel charges fast. Really fast.. When you plug in your Google Pixel, it charges fast. With just a few minutes of charging, your phone gets hours of power.

Got this deal in January but it was 100gb then (same monthly cost). Been ok, few bugs though which I've never had with Samsungs.. Facebook regularly crashing, links on FB not opening, Barclays app crashing (seems a little better recently, possibly fixed with updates)... Also the fingerprint reader isn't great, very temperamental. Can't complain at the price but I'll think again before going Google next time.

Barclays app crashing was an Android 13 issue. It looks like they've fixed it now though.

I'd recommend adding the same fingerprint twice, it vastly improved fingerprint recognition when I had a 6A. (edited)

Three's data signal is shocking, completely unreliable even in central Manchester, Liverpool or London let alone other areas. I'd think twice before going with them as a new customer.

I see all the complaints above and luckily don't have any with my device. My battery is excellent, it's used quite a lot, location, Bluetooth to my smart watch and car. No crashes etc. I don't use it for gaming, but I am streaming music a lot. The only downside to me is the slow charging time, but it really isn't that bad, I've had a lot worse.

Is this deal definitely on until the end of the month?

Cannot see end date mentioned anywhere apart from on this deal page header. "This deal expires on 31 May at 23:59"

Asking as want to go for this but not until toward the end of the month... (edited)

Unless they run out of stock, the deal ends on the 31st May, this is a deal we worked on with Affordable, and these are the details which were agreed

Went for it.. I’ve been wanting to move from iOS and my sim only contract ends in July and I’m paying £10 pm for 5GB.. so considering this is £14pm with no upfront cost and that the phone is £345 in Argos. It’s pretty much a no brainier. Probs the best phone deal I’ve laid eyes on.

    Nice one Switchy.

If I'm already on three do I have to port my number to a non three PAYG SIM and back to get my number ported?
    MrSwitch's avatar
    MrSwitch Author
You do yeah! It's a simple process, and the likes of ee will send you a sim card for free

Purchased thanks for the heads up. Only downside is the lack of Eu roaming for my 2 weeks in Greece!! I stupidly ordered charcoal, didn't read the thread properly to get Sage!! (edited)

Seems a lot of random views, so again:
After u deduct the normal sim only line rental value for this deal u r paying less than 150 for the phone.
Comparing this to an iPhone that cost 5 times that, battery life lasted longer, good or bad is subjective, no it didn’t last 1 week like my old Nokia but it lasted longer than my iPhone which cost 5 times more.
Camera is great day time, so so at night.
Screen good quality, i didn’t feel I missed out compared my iPhone.
Phone software itself is smooth as anything
My one issue is the touch finger thing but could be due to my gobble giant fingers.
I just use the pin instead

    wow good deal
i got £150 credit from google store, which takes the set to £300
probably get 30-40 for the free headphones, but for a 24 month sim on this deal works out pretty decent

Silly question, but is there a way to instantly pay it all off, or pay a large majority of it off and just have the 3 sim for the 24 months?

Depends on how you use it I would say. If you get it then expect to buy a power bank and make use of it regularly as the battery life is truly awful. The phone performs well in just about every other respect (although the fingerprint unlock feature is a little inconsistent) but I don't think I could recommend it just because it isn't really that mobile!

Really after the 6a, but no interest in a contract at all (leaving the country till next year)

Anyone know where is cheapest right now for the 6 or 6a? I think the cheapest I can find is a 1 month contract with O2, and an upfront cost, totalling £272.

I'm looking at getting this for my daughter's birthday however her birthday isn't until 7th June, is there any way to delay the start of the contract a bit? Seems daft to start it so far before she'll start using it but I'd really like to get it sorted out now
    1988dave's avatar
    1988dave
By time it arrives it will nearly be her birthday those? Maybe 7 days before? I meam 7 days is nothing really... Probs cheapest you will get this as the phone itself is worth this (edited)
