    eBay do not care and they won't force sellers to be honest. This is almost certainly a lie.

    It says it's an ex-demo unit in the description. It is wayyyy cheaper than new and from a seller with 99.9% positive feedback. You pays your money and makes your choice. My last 2 phones have been bought in exactly this scenario (different sellers), they've been fine, but it is a risk I was prepared to take for the saving.

    If the phone has a warranty then you can still claim. Considering this came out in October, it should have a warranty. I have claimed the same for my 6 pro last year when I bought it from eBay.

    Are there any meaningful improvements between the 6 pro and 7 pro that you would actually notice?

    A few changes I noticed are more stable, less heating, good network coverage, better macro camera and wide ultra wide. Better battery life for me at least. 7 pro is basically what 6 pro should have been. 6 pro is also much better now after the updates so YMMV.

    Ive had this crazy Pro 6 bug that (despite endless factory resets) drains my battery each night. Ive been able to mitigate that only by keeping in permanently in power save mode and keeping it plugged in every night. I almost swore I'd never buy a pixel phone again but the camera quality is still to die for. Im looking at possibly picking up the Pro 7 or 8 at the end of the year but wanted to know if the bugs were ironed out and whether there was a meaningful upgrade

    good find from the OP. However, a word of caution- the new pixel 7 pro deals on eBay that are £500 will typically have a 'no-returns' policy.
