You do know the Tensor chipset used by the Pixel Phones is produced by Samsung, so you're basically getting a rebranded Exynos chipset.

I agree the Pixel Phones are good, but that's mainly due to the stock Android experience. But given the choice, I'd take the S24 or S24 Plus with the Exynos over the Pixel Pro. The cameras are better in my opinion and Samsung are now rivaling Google in regards to image processing, which makes those Pixel photos look great.

One thing to add, if you have kids or you are planning to take photos of movements indoors then just get pixel. Samsung is still behind in this and exhibits terrible processing and shutter lag

Samsung Galaxy S24+ vs Pixel 8 Pro | Which is best? (youtube.com)

This was helpful, using the UK version of the Samsung with the Exynos chipset.

Long story short, much better cameras on the Pixel, especially the telephoto, but otherwise, in most regards, if photography is less important to you, the Samsung is the better phone (he does note that in video stabilisation, the Samsung is a little better but I have a gimble, so not too bothered about that, though no reference in this video to the network issues with the S24/plus where the Exynos version performs poorly next to the Snapdragon version, also no reference to the overheating issues when used outdoors, though with our colder weather in the UK than in Austria/Germany where most of those deeper dive reviews were coming from, I'm not sure the silly sounding 'not a phone to use outdoors' point applies. He appears to be using the latest firmware/software.

£39.99 from ID mobile, £60 cashback via Topcashback (Car phone warehouse) and £200 from Samsung, makes it around £34PM

Thanks for sharing this, was thinking about the Samsung S24 plus but the network problems with the Exynos version compared with the Snapdragon version are really concerning, less bothered about the benchmarks and hours less battery life, not too concerned about the photographs looking better with the Snapdragon version in some but not all situations; as far as I can work out, the Exynos version has better 4K video quality than the Snapdragon version and that matters most to me. I appreciate the Pixel 8 Pro isn't a great performer, so even the Exynos version of the S24/plus is probably a comfortable step up from the Pixel but I think the Pixel overall probably edges it for photography/colour science. Had been hoping to find a 4K head to head between Pixel and Exynos S24 but haven't found a deep dive on that, yet, curious to know how both perform with Motioncam, if anyone has found a side by side (Exynos chipset version).

Anyway, excuse my ramblings, anyone know if this is Amazon price matching someone else? Would feel more secure ordering it from a place that doesn't send me an identical-weight-to brick/bottle of perfume! How often does that happen?!

Edit - is it at least nice perfume?! (edited)
