Super price for a great tablet. I have this model and it runs very smoothly, no lag at all

I have had items from CeX before grade B that have been basically like new

Wish Google would make a next generation Nexus 7-type budget entry level tablet for the 2020's. Sell like hot cakes it would!

Saw an offer for this on HUKD a while ago.
Looked at reviews which were not great.
With 2 years warranty might be worth a punt.
What do people think?

Based on my use of the tablet it's a good buy. Runs smoothly, quickly, and sounds good

Also worth keeping in mind the reviews are mostly from release of the device and such issues with lag have been fixed now. If you can get the keyboard as well, it genuinely feels like using a laptop

You can return it within 14 days for a refund if you decide it isn't for you as well. If you order online, that is (more info here)

Think google would rather push them to chromebooks, they know the only competition is amazon which sell IMO pretty poor devices (slow, horrible UI)

With the keyboard costing around the £170 mark, you'd be better buying a laptop.

From £105 at CeX, or £40 for the Brydge G one when it is in stock. It's worth looking elsewhere though for better prices of course
not sure, if I should buy something out of Android or just play it cool with Apple

Definitely worth trying Android. I can assure you that you won't regret it or look back

This doesn't look like it's running Android. It looks like it's running chrome OS, but will be able to run android apps. My brother has something like this and it's very slick. I can't fault it.

You're correct - this runs Android apps on Chrome OS. The user asked if they should try Android though. Glad your brother's device is as good as this! Do you know what tablet / laptop it is?

Apple or chromebook. Lost faith with Android tablets since the Nexus 7 and NV Shield tablet.

I have this and also use the brydge keyboard and it's a great but of kit, I use the i5 version and it does everything I need it to do,

The Nexus 7 was good for the time, but it was still a budget tablet even then.

Depends on what you want to do. I have a Chromebook and it's great as a fast netbook. Web browsing, YouTube, office work (Google docs) etc. You can't use it for much else though, unless you get a high spec one, but you'll have issues trying to run other programs like video editing unless you use an android app or install Linux.

If you want to use apple as a netbook, I'd say your spending too much.

Have you tried Video Editing apps on it?
I have used PowerDirector app from the Play store on my Acer R11 (2GB RAM) ... 1080p, it is working fine.
So this Slate should do 4K editing easily.
Poor spec. Still not worth the money. It's so bad that dex looks like a work of art
£350 for a second hand tablet, wow!! I take it it can do more than my £99 Xiaomi redmi 5?
What is the advantage of chrome Os( running android app) over midrange android phones which can run and play everything just as fine with less than half the price...350 should be the original brand new price

Thanks. Still undecided.
I'm glad I'm not the only one that rues the passing of the Nexus 7 mk2.
Shame that Google abandoned phones such as Nexus 5 and the Nexus 7 tablets, missed a couple of stages and went high end with appropriate prices.

Well, for a start this isn't a phone? It's a Chromebook without a keyboard.
What's an 8GB RAM (M3)?
