Not a deal, this will be sub £300 Black Friday.

No it won’t - you’ll get a £35 Fire tablet though, a discounted Fire Stick, or a cheap Polaroid TV from Asda.

Disappointing that Google seem to going down the Apple route with their mobile pricing. The Nexus range was a real game changer in its day...

the New Pixel 2 XL (2nd Generation) has just been announced but its asking price is going to be £800, crazy price

Makes this good value

You can choose Android One device; xiaomi mi a1 or motorola moto x4 but they will cost £300-400. In this case better take last year pixel for specs and camera.

Currys, PC World, Carphone Warehouse. They're all the same company owned by Dixons Carphone. All the phones Currys sell are priced (well meant to be priced) at the same price as Carphone as they are sold by Carphone basically.

ONLY the official GLOBAL Version (it is printed on the package) supports B1, B3, B4, B5, B7, B8, B20 (LTE Band 20).
The Version for India only supports B1,B3,B5.

Classic well reasoned argument

How does the camera compare to the likes of the S8 and one plus 5 on this?

I'm trying to find a decent phone I can sell my iPhone 7+ for and have some change left over, thought the pixel was supposedly the best phone ever last year.

Different phone, size does matter - she said.

Got it last week from CPW - absolutely love it, raw android 8.0 for under £400

So people in the UK should just buy the global version then, and for under £200 from various sites, nowhere near the £250-300 you claimed

I will spend £50 more and buy in some european country for warranty. You can buy in China, not my money, not my problem.

Spend 50 quid extra for a year's warranty on a 160 quid phone? Why? That suggests you believe a mobile has an approx 30% chance of breaking down in its first 12 months. Question: approx how many mobiles have you owned and how many failed in the first 12 months?
