£100 knocked off the price making it the cheapest around at the moment.

Yes it's expensive, and ChromeOS isn't for everyone but it's a great great bit of tech. If I could afford one, I would totally go for it.

Specs below:
  • Chrome OS
  • Intel® Core™ i5-7Y57 Processor
  • RAM: 8 GB / Storage: 128 GB eMMC
  • Quad HD display
  • Battery life: Up to 10 hours battery life

The other better specced models all have £100 off as well, but no discounts on the pen. 1% Quidco too.

At £900 it's still on the expensive side tbh.
Thanks for sharing op....
I love chromebooks, but who the f is spending £900 on one
Meh. Been using the Acer CB515-1HT for a few months now and it's more or less replaced my tablet which was used for media consumption. Huge 15" 1080p screen with great stereo sound, decent CPU, RAM and storage. Picked it up for £299 off eBuyer before they replaced it the similarly priced lower spec newer model.

Wouldn't pay more than £350 for a Chromebook. Besides I think someone is making a Pixelbook clone for cheaper but same specs in a few months.
Can't see the point of one of these - all those specs and what to use it for? Surely a standard i5 processor (or even an i3) would make Chrome fly and for what? Shouldn't be more than £400 absolute max. ABSOLUTE max.
Limited market for such a highly priced chromebook, not for the likes of me. Perhaps more aimed at corporate business types or people who simply must have 'the best'. People happily pay many thousands of £'s for cars that spend all day sitting in the same traffic queues as a £500 banger and I don't really see much difference. Don't think a £100 off will cut much ice but a deal's a deal so heat given.
??????????????????
This is a hot deal - cheapest price=hot deal.
So many good deals get lost when people think that expressing their opinion on a product is somehow relevant to a deal's heat.
NVM
I'm off to Currys now - if they can let me try Android Golf Clash on a Pixelbook and it plays OK then I may be impulsive enough to buy one.
Hot Deal!
**edit - online order only - no demo, no purchase

Unfortunate that China has blocked google so demand in China for Chromebooks is nil, otherwise we would have a wide choice of Chinese cheap and cheerful Chromebooks to choose from. As it is, with a few exceptions, we in the uk are currently substantially overpaying for Chromebook hardware.
I have this. Cracking price.
We've been to look at one in curry's today but none in stock. In fact the salesman only had negative comments about them, saying you need constant Internet as everything is stored on the cloud and the device is useless without it.

Sounds like a typically idiotic Currys salesperson.

He obviously missed the 128 GB internal storage on the spec. sheet
