Google Play Music FREE for 4 months (+ other deals)

109
Found 22nd Nov
Great for some free streaming over Christmas (and well into the new year). Also some other app and book deals at the same link. Music deal for new users only. But it does work for lapsed users too. I unsubscribed several months ago and have been able get the offer.

If you are not a new user - your account may need to have been lapsed for a minimum period before it will work.

Music deal is only for new users

Thanks. As an fyi - Play music offer is for new users only... or so it told me!

I've had a free 3 month trial before and it's let me sign up for this offer so looks like you can take the offer if you've had google play music before

Yes, this a trial of the full version so that feature of Google Play Music should work during the trial too.

It worked for me and I've had at least two free trials before.

There is a free version.
It's the version that allowed you to upload and stream your own music rather than from the Google catalogue.

same here heat added anyways , great for those than can get it

A reminder for those who already have large music collections...

Play Music allows you to upload 50,000 tracks to the cloud for unlimited streaming for free!
Use Google Play Music Manager to keep your music library in sync with the cloud and your full library will appear in the app or online

Heat for the deal though - great offer if you're starting out with nothing!

So the free version lets you stream your own music ad-free?

Worked for me - I had the same trial membership this time last year.

Yep
It's your music uploaded though, not all the music on Google.

Cool. Only interested in my own collection.

Pro-tip: As you can't upload your mp3s from your phone, there is a workaround for this if you have an always on computer in the house. Here's how I do mine:

I upload the "legally acquired" mp3 album to a specific OneDrive folder, which is synced to a folder on my server at home, which is where the Google Play Music Manager uploads from.

Works a treat. Word of warning though, the Google Play Music Manager is one of the least optimized pieces of software I've ever seen. It's only uploading mp3s to Google's servers, how come it maxes out my CPU :-O

didn't work for me

Yes. Worth mentioning though (for the benefit of others looking at this offer) that this offer is for a trial of the full version - so this also includes all the Google Play Music library.

Worked a treat and I've subscribed before (albiet years ago)

worked for me and I've had a free Google Play Music trial in the past (maybe even a few free trials)

Think you can cancel immediately and still enjoy the benefits

"The Special Offer is only available to new customer's "

Is what its saying to me

Still, that's easily fixed

Tip: Select to Share your music collection / playlist and send an email link to your "new" email. Then when you switch you'll have access to all your songs / playlists again.

Still worth trying with your original account. I cancelled (a family subscription) about 7 months ago and this offer worked for me using the same Google account.

I've had a 90 day trial in the past and it worked for me, thanks for the heads up!

Yes there is a free version but you only get to play your own collection, uploaded to the cloud. And you get ads.

Just the 60 days free for me

I have used my main gmail account numerous times to get 'free x months' and it has worked again. Although it says 4 months for me then when I went to subscribe it gave me 61 days, not sure why but happy nonetheless.

This isn't true, there are no ads in Google Play Music. You can upload 50,000 tracks (max of 300mb per track) and play them ad-free.
