Stadia really hasnt taken off has it

Don't think it ever will. Far better options out there for gaming with more selection.

Yes, Nvidia Shield already took alot of the market share.

Lack of exclusive games and the ones that are on the platform are on others and cheaper

I'm really liking Stadia, and will stick with it. It needs another year to build up it library.
sounds like its for only certain people like the chromecast deal

Nothing with my Indian one
Nothing for me (UK premium)
Not got an email yet. Is the link unique or can you share it? Last time (Free Nest Mini's) the link was generic so could be shared.

Also what controller can be used if you don't have the Stadia one?

Not got anything, UK student
google took wrong approach for stadia hence result. Doubt they will pick up for next year, google attitude changed over years, they forgot how they started and what was their aim.....
Are these flameeggs COVID-19 tested? as just collected one
Not for me (uk premium) - what google should do is simple - they should be the equivalent of Spotfy or Netflix and be the kings of game streaming - they should charge a monthly fee say £4.99 allowing subscribers to play ANY game in the google catalog - just a one off monthly fee, unlimited gaming. People without there own controllers could purchase one from google for say £10. You get the idea.
Terrible charging model, won’t stand a chance even overlooking input lag issues.
I got the email earlier today, played on Chrome with my PC - seems ok but not a lot of games. Not sure if I'll play it much to be honest. Game Pass is a much better deal!

I play stadia more then xbox ultimate and playstation whatever it's called (which will not be renewed). It's just so much quicker and easier to use. I also found myself playing and enjoying games i probably wouldn't normally try such as Gylt and Steampunk Dig 2! Stadia gets a huge thumbs up from me and will/has replaced my playstation sub. No more updates or ages waiting for things to download! Have a look at the video About the 2 minute mark

I've had Stadia for the last few months and cancelled my membership a couple of days ago, I won't be investing any more time/money in this system. 3 months for free is great though for people to get a taster.

I was initially impressed when playing the Tombraider games but since I've started playing FPS games on it (Metro and Serious Sam) I've started to notice serious input lag and it even ignores button presses entirely sometimes. Serious Sam is effectively unplayable on my 100mb connection. Destiny 2 which has always felt so slick on the PS4 just doesn't feel right, my shots and general control just feel different/wrong. Playing through the Stadia app on a laptop gets the best performance but its still pretty poor, playing through a Chromecast Ultra is terrible (make sure you switch your TV to game mode).

I like the fact you can play it on older devices and resume netflix style on a different device

Earlier my surface pro 3 ran out of battery and completely died, was playing with a switch pro controller.
Grabbed the stadia controller and turned the tv on the game resumed exactly where i was before

Have you tried Destiny 2 on Geforce Now?

I have much better connection using that over Stadia

What speed broadband? I'm on virgin and get 100mb down, 10mb up. That should have been plenty got Stadia but apparently not. Not keen to jump in on another streaming service if it's more of the same.

I thinking of just going back to Xbox or PS4 for the time being, at least until these streaming services get their act together and gigabit internet is available where I live.

GFN has a free tier, ok theres wait times due to demand but you can try for free. Surely free is a no brainer, then upgrade if you like it.

Even PS4 is really suffering at present, Xbox has improved alot over the last week. (My son is lagging on ps4 whilst I'm fine on Xbox)

My internet is BT , 300 Down , 100 Up.

100Mb is plenty enough, it's not you but the servers overloaded

Trying to spark interest in a dying product. Tried it and hated the lag. Awful service
Been a UK Premium Family Plan customer for many, many months and no invitation for me.

Just had a look, and going to give it a go on the free tariff, paid tariff is currently not available to new members. Cheers for the heads up.

Time to figure out if I can somehow use my stadia controller with GFN.
