That's what I've done. Haven't seen this cheaper than this.

Love your profile pic my friend, fellow Geordie. Mint!
Good price, paid about £150 on ebay last month for used... Very happy with it.
I have these and they replaced my poor Virgin Hub - they are superb!

Exactly what I bought them for. Virgin hub is dropping wifi signal at random. Has this eliminate the problem for you?

I bought at this price from Amazon to replace our virgin hub too. Can’t fault it one bit, never drops signal like the virgin hub did. We recently got M350 and the speeds to the google Wi-fi have been sitting at around 330. We’ve got 10+ devices connected and all good. You won’t regret it!

Thanks. That's great news. Hope this will resolve my issues too. 🤞
Dumb that it is £1 cheaper to buy a 1pack + 2 pack, rather than just the 3 pack.

Works well?
This was a good review:
We have a 2 pack in a fairly large 3 storey house and it's rock solid.
Currently 36 devices connected and don't have issues. Customer service is good too if you ever need to use it.
May get a third so I can extend out to the garden & garage.
We live in the middle of nowhere, so I use the family WiFi schedule to shut down internet access to my younger kids on school nights. They have no option for 3/4g as no mobile reception unless via WiFi calling. Excellent system, but is pricey.

Yes!! - not only has it stopped all the drop outs it’s boosted my speed! A++ highly recommended!

Yes - I had constant disconnects with virgin hub all the time! I have 20+ devices connected phones, security cameras, Alexa’s etc and have had 2 google hubs connected for 6-months now. Not only was my speed instantly boosted around the house, I have had not one single disconnect! Plus the google app software is excellent!

Thanks buddy. Can't wair for them to arrive. Had enough with this Virgin wifi issues.
Quick question - do you have 2 or 3 to get the full coverage?

We have two and they give us full coverage in our 1930’s house. The main google hub connects into the virgin hub which you set in modem mode, so the virgin hub just acts as a gateway with a purple light on it. I then set the second google hub upstairs and for me they work perfectly, I now even get coverage in my garden! The good thing is if you do find you have a blind spot you can move them around to find optimum coverage, or buy an additional single unit!

Good luck - you won’t regret it!

Why not wait for 20 years when you can buy it for a pound.

Makes sense
We have a Plusnet router.
Is it worth getting a 2 pack of these for a 2 bedroom 50's semi?
These replace the router do they not?

Make sure you put your existing router to modem mode which will be much more better for google wifi to take ove router responsibilities.

With this do you still need the router or does the Google WiFi replace it? Thanks
You still need your router as a modem. Then the ethernet cable from the existing router/modem to google wifi. Once that's done app will guide you through the set up. Once you figure out how to get your existing router to modem mode, rest is pretty much child's play.
Anyone know how long these are on offer for???

From a quick Google, it looks like you cannot easily put it in modem mode. Happy for any advice, am a novice at this kind of stuff

I am with Virgin which is pretty easy to do. For PlusNet, I managed to find the below article in the corners of the world wide web.
community.plus.net/t5/…518
Update - received mine last week. Bought two. Setting couldn't be more easier. Download the app and the wifi packs are pretty much plug and play.
One thing to remember is google wifi has one ethernet cable slot. One in from your router/modem and one out. I put my virgin hub to modem modem, so had to by a gigabyte switch to plug in all additional ethernet cables.
Constant wifi throughout the house (3 bed) and I even get decent signal strength in the garden too. All in all very happy.
