Update 1
Important update about this model - Thank you to @scoon for pointing out that because this is the US version (model: GA00158-US) and not the UK version (GA00158-UK), the US version does not operate in 5g mode when used in the UK, this is because it uses a different channel frequency not allowed for wifi in Europe. It will only work in 2g mode. Also, US and UK models are not compatible with each other.
Use code PARTY at checkout for this price.

It will come with USA Plug with a UK adapter included.

Wait up people! These are US versions, note the model number GA00158-US

The UK model is GA00158-UK

I know because I learnt the hard way! purchased 3 boxes of 3 for some houses off a seller on ebay who was a "UK Seller" with goods that dispatched immediately. Ebay would not allow refund because seller had included the US model number.

Bargain
How do these compare to the BT discs?
Is this a good deal? Seems a lot better than the lowest ever Amazon price, and better than other recent deals for Google Wifi
Absolutely brilliant system. But if you want to customise anything then probably don't. And yes it's a bargain.

Really want one but hate having it plugged into a USA to UK adapter! Anyone know if the plugs are easy to get?

Does anyone have a link to where/which uk power supply we can purchase?
I've checked on Google store and they only have 18w and 45w. Google pods needs a 15w.

i have Virgin media 350mb and we used to constantly get Wifi drop outs and jammed internet signals.

we tried the virgin boosters which were useless.

picked these up when amazon had a sale for about 260 for 3 of them and ever since i plugged them in the internet at my house has been flawless. worth every penny
If you're spending that much on a home WiFi setup, why not get some Ubiquiti gear instead?

I looked at these for virgin media but i decided to go with an Asus ac86 and an old Asus ac56u in mesh anything is better than the dreadful hub 3
I have 4 of these. They're great for none tech-people who just want wifi to work in their home.

I'm upgrading to Ubiquiti Unifi though as it suits my needs more.

Sooooo... 4 Google Wi-Fi units for sale soon.

I'd be interested, to buy all 4
Could i please ask someone a stupid question:

If I use a UK USB-C charger for this US device, would that work ok?
Good price but no warranty
Problem with all of these systems is they have very minimal Ethernet connections, using Three Airpot Extremes and all of the RJ45 are taken up.

My upstairs one is plugged into a standard Anker 5 port charger. Works with no issues whatsoever.

Of course I forgot about the huge mansions people now live in!

I live in a detached three bedroom house built in the '30s. I can't get wifi in most of my kitchen (only the entrance doorway), and can't get any in my son's bedroom, or my office. It's hardly a mansion, but it does need extended wifi to have full coverage throughout the house. It's also dependent on where your router is situated, as mine is right next to my front door, owing to where the BT master socket is located.

For reference purposes, I also use a Sky router.
Edited by: "karlitr0s" 17th Jul
I see this is designed for US systems, and also replaces the router provided by the broadband provider.
Has anyone tried it with our UK providers (BT / Sky / Virgin etc.) and would you be willing to share your experience?
Edited by: "Xiaoda" 17th Jul
I have them and they give good coverage but the problem is it connects to 2.4G channel the further away you are from the router. There is no way to select the channel you want which means I was getting lower speed than virgin router that I was using in Modem mode to use these google router. So I would not say they are great but ok for better coverage .
Rather just get one decent ubiquity access point.

Try streaming 4k HDR uncompressed Plex from the back bedroom to the front living room on your Sky Router
