There's no vegetarian version, cold.
Or you could just buy potatoes with this applied?
I find the Waitrose beef dripping at 99p a jar great value~makes beautiful roasties.

I don't think it contains any potatoes so I think that's the idea.

Sorry, I misread your comment
It's not Christmas without goose fat potatoes, extra crispy.

Eurghhhhh.... that's disgusting and wrong.

As part of the EUROPEAN legislation they now have to retain 50% of the geese instead of killing them. Because that reduces the amount of goose fat availability they decide to make the geese wear little polythene exercise suits and have them jog on a sort of treadmill for 30mins each day. The geese literally sweat the fat out now which is collected from the tiny sweat suits and processed.
It's a sort of vegetarian / ethical enterprise.

Tesco's is only 220g but still works out slightly better value even if you bought 2 jars for £2.
Still not a bad deal though.

I agree Beef dripping is better and cheaper but that's quite a price for beef dripping, Britannia brand is generally around 60p for a 250g block in most supermarkets, Waitrose included. While the best is often worth paying for, I genuinely can't tell the difference between this and the stuff in jars.

This place is about saving money, that has to be THE most expensive way imaginable to end up with roast potatoes!
