This might sound stupid but is goose fat just goose fat or can you get nice and not so nice goose fat lol (yes I'm serious!

I bought some from Sainsburys for £3 so why is this £1 I'm thinking? Sainsburys better quality goose fat or have I been robbed

Used this last year on the roast potatoes.

Did the job fine and already bought it again today; recommended.

Goose fat is goose fat. Unless it's being sold with something added it's a pretty basic product.

Buying Sainburys extra special goose fat over a cheaper brand......in the words of the Happy Mondays "call the cops.."

available for home delivery too. got mine today.

Another wild goose fat chase.

This post stinks of goose fat.. Im off!

Nutritionally it'll vary considerably, depending on what the bird was fed on (greens or soya pellets). Not sure the price is a good guide though!

Beef dripping is loads tastier but isn't as seasonal. Fat is fat though in terms of quality - if you can tell what their last supper was from the taste of their fat then you should be auditioning for You Bet, not wasting your time on HUKD.

Just realised You Bet was about 20 years ago, when Matthew Kelly still had a booming career. I'm old.

It is indeed one of the finest pomades.

Perfect for those traditional New years day lake swims too or if you're planning on swimming the channel ;-)

They also sell it (goose fat) in the chiller section for £2 in Tesco. It looks from the photo here that this £1 jar is on a regular shelf and not stored cold.
I think I'll stick to the fresher chilled stuff - not worth having half-hearted roast potatoes on Christmas Day for the sake of not spending and extra quid!
