In the past I have bought loads of cheapo cases, now all my stuff is Samsonite and I would't go back
The thing is this, its a cabin case so its not going to get thrown around, the only people that handle these are the owners so it doesnt need to be galvanised adamantium or whatever, get yourself an it luggage, lightest case in the world or whatever, only £35 and they weigh 1.7 kg.
Good price but in all honesty if you want to pay higher prices for luggage pieces then you have to go with Briggs & Riley as they're the only ones to offer a no quibble total lifetime guarantee including airline and baggage handler damage.
Before all the negs get in, don't get me started on cheap crappy luggage! Samsonite make very, very good cases. Superb quality and a very good warranty. A bit pricey though, maybe? Some may say getting a semi OK brand (I've had a Tripp case now that seems to be taking the punishment) from say £50 quid odd and replacing every say 6 years may be a better sense of economy for some. Voting hot, but still expensive for some.
big spender. why not go all out??? Samsonite Swarovski trunk http://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rhinestone-adorned-luggage-samsonite-black-label-swarovski-trunk
I had the large version of this suitcase and the handlebar snapped right off when I was pulling it through Heathrow. My case was carrying about 18kg at the time.
