So today I purchased a GoPro Hero 5 Black from Argos for £299, I’ve just seen the same camera advertised on eglobalcentral.co.uk for £240 .... should I return mine (unopened) to Argos and buy one from this company?

wrong place to ask, sure a mod will move it for you

Ignor the .co.uk. They are based in Hong Kong. For the £60 I would stick with Argos for peace of mind with any issues etc. Plus you already have it I hand.
Yes I have heard many people don't get a guarantee with this site
Hell no

Thanks for the “heads up” about the company, it certainly has mixed reviews on trustpilot !
Bought two things from them no problems. I think they have an outlet in France to which they send things first, so they avoid duty and tax and so you don't pay it.
You'll now get people who have had problems.
Deals about them get posted here, because they are usually cheaper than anywhere else, they either get boiling hot or freezing cold, depending on whether the like-ers or the doubters get there first. Then everybody else piles in like sheep

Worst company in the world to deal with. Stay well away.
You can buy mine for 250 with sd card and some accessories :-)

Use this website at your own risk! Like others have said, look on trust pilot, not a UK based company and people have been stung with shipping costs and damaged and none received goods and had a useless customer service experience trying to resolve it
It's where I bought mine from! I've not had any problems with the site.
I've ordered quite a few high priced camera items from them in the past and always had 1st class service, far cheaper than anywhere else. They're grey imports but exactly the same item you would buy from a UK retailer, all made in the same factory. You don't get a UK warranty but almost all warranties never get used anyway. If you have a problem you can return the item to them in the normal warranty period for a replacement.

I bought an iphone from them a couple of weeks back and the price dropped between when I ordered and when the item was shipped, I contacted them and they refunded the difference, just like Amazon would have done. I'd recommend them.
Stick with Argos, any future issues within the next 12 months and its a lot simpler to exchange!
I would love to open a shop like eglobal and make huge amounts of money, at least i would know that i wouldn't accept returns! What else can a business ask for
I'd probably return and buy from the gopro store with the free accessories. I wouldn't bother getting it from eglobal dispite using them myself with no troubles.
Prolly not the best deal ever but I purchased a refurbished hero 5 black from GoPro on eBay for 259. although it was "refurbished" it was to all intents and purposes brand new, no scratches or marks, plastic protectors on the lens and screen etc. It also has 12 month warranty and as I can reclaim the vat, made it a great deal for me.

Just bear in mind if buying from a Chinese website you run the risk you will be hit with import duties, customs and an admin fee from the courier

Not in this case, all items are delivered from inside the EU via DPD, so there is a 0% chance of paying, taxes, duties, fees, handling etc. I know I have used that 14+ times now.
