Probably the cheapest version of the GOPRO series. Still a fantastic little action camera!

Compact, lightweight and versatile, the GoPro HERO Action Camcorder is the perfect way to capture and share your adventures.

Stunning video

With an incredibly easy to use interface, the GoPro HERO makes recording high definition video and photos unbelievably straightforward.

Capable of shooting 1080p Full HD videos at 30 frames per second, you can create gorgeously detailed, sharply defined videos in fluid slow-motion, ideal for capturing even the most fast-paced activities.

The QuikCapture mode means the Hero can be switched on and start recording with just one button, meaning you don't miss any of the action – it's great for recording exciting high-speed events.

Small and lightweight

Thanks to its small and lightweight frame and housing, the HERO Action Camcorder doesn't get in the way as you surf, skate or ride, letting you take thrilling and immersive videos of your pastimes without restrictions.

Keeping things simple, the HERO has integrated housing that you can quickly and easily attach to your gear before you start recording – it weighs just 110 g.

Waterproof to depths of 40 m, shockproof, dustproof and freezeproof, the Hero can withstand all of the elements and can go wherever you do, delivering high quality clips and photos in virtually all conditions.

Sorry guys, i've removed a few comments as the retailer you were comparing this deal with cannot be posted on HUKD as they are non UK and based in China.

Being able to frame the shot isn't always that important, for me after I stuck the gopro on the front end of my bike a couple of times, I knew exactly what I would be getting, I guess it depends what you want the camera for.

It's also worth noting the tidy editing software that comes with the gopro, saves purchasing adobe premier elements or similar software which costs £30-ish, I'm very happy with the gopro, and it's not just a name as suggested!

You wouldn't bar an Amazon USA deal where they allowed shipping to the UK, so why bar a retailer that actually has a warehouse in the UK and v.v.good customer service? You're doing us all a disservice by barring such retailers.

Hi wenttoabetterplace,
your always welcome to post in feedback if you want a merchant reviewed

Thanks wenttoabetterplace. You're a star !

You Don't say what version it is 3 or a 4 ????

Bought one the other day with £30 off from Very with first order.

If there is nothing illegal going on, I also would like to know about the retailers that might be selling this for cheaper, even if they are from a country in Europe or the USA or anywhere else. (As long as they deliver to my door that is).

I've been using DABS for years - never had a problem with them

It's the new entry level GoPro and it's just called the Hero. It was launched back in Septembet/October IIRC.

I don't think this has wi-fi so you can't view what is being recorded via the iPhone app

I think the GoPro HERO3 White is probably worth the extra £50 for the wi-fi

Still great to see these beauties are lowering in price!

Neither, It was released with the latest 4 as a budget basic option. It's its own kind.

Great camera I got this one a couple of months ago and was well impressed with the build quality and footage recorded while mountain biking. I would recommend getting the chest mount for anyone interested in using this while biking.

Much like the 3,000RPM deals, you should probably just count yourself lucky for having had a good shopping experience with DABS. Every DABS deal I see is littered with disappointed customers;
Here is the most recent one that springs to mind

Speaking of 3,000RPM....they operate out of a tin pot shop in Glasgow, shovel out absolute junk to their customers, and yet are still allowed to have deals posted on HUKD. The moderators on this website are absolute fools with their retailer policy. BangGood is an absolutely huge company, with a UK warehouse....yet it is banned.
(This website annoys me so much at times!)

Guys this or sj4000 with wifi, what do you say

The GoPro video editor is free for users of all action cams
shop.gopro.com/EME…tml

I used to own a GoPro Hero HD where it was just shoot and pray. Being unable to frame the shot (for me) was so frustrating, as it would mean that I would have things in shot that I didn't want to be there. Yes, you do eventually get used to not having a screen, but having used a wifi enabled GoPro, I would never go back to a camera where there was no way at all to frame the shot.
The screen is also useful for playing back videos just to check lighting etc etc. & you can delete videos on camera that aren't any good rather than just having space consumed with videos that aren't actually any good.

Speaking of which, is there any way to turn those things off? Adblocker Plus doesn't seem to work.

I can sadly confirm it seems to work on chrome for me.

As for banned retailers....might I suggest referral commission, or lack thereof might play a part? I've used 'knockwell' (mods generally star out banned retailers) lots, as have many friends - always a good experience. Likewise Barbara Windsors store on ebay, that sells Duracell Procell batteries are banned, and again, looking at there feedback for a huge vloume shifter it isn't bad at all.

I'd keep a close eye on your bank statements as Very have been known to rescind offers that people have used which weren't intended for them.

Probably the cheapest version of the GOPRO series.

Is that because of the lower price?

That wasn't a GoPro deal, it was a GoPro at standard price with a introductory discount at Very that could be applied to anything (if you're prepared to sign up to 20 pages of credit agreements and assorted crap).

Having said that, this is only £5 off the normal price so not exactly a stunning deal.

I agree - with people wasting their money on Bluetooth audio receivers I decided to post a deal about an eBay listing for the ones you can get for a bit over £3 - as a satisfied customer who could confirm to the community that they do what they're supposed to do. That was removed because they're based in China. What's the problem? It takes longer to arrive, that's all. It won't incur import duties/VAT because it's below the threshold. A lot of these Chinese retailers on eBay seem to be very helpful and trusting and will send you out a replacement or refund if you tell them the goods didn't arrive or don't work, which is more than a lot of UK companies will do.

I have yet to have a bad experience with a Chinese seller. It does take longer....but that is to be expected. The most important thing though --- they actually value their feedback rating....and do all they can to maintain it. Companies like Dabs on the other hand just don't give a damn.
I guess the ultimate sticking point is that HUKD will struggle to make click through revenues from companies based in China. HUKD are far from altruistic....if they don't benefit from a deal, then they will do all they can to remove it. That's a real shame, because we are the ones who lose out.

I love my sj 4000 but you need to convert the clips before you can edit it Adobe premier.

Are we saying that we can't share a deal with people or talk about better deals if the retailer or etailer in question doesnt pay HUKD some sort of payment?

Not at all guys, merchants are vetted carefully only to see if they are safe to list on HUKD. We wouldn't want any members placing orders for something that later turned out to be not as described or counterfeit.
As mentioned above if you wish to discuss this further and instead of taking
this thread off topic any further, please create a request in the feedback section for the merchant to be discussed / reviewed in the correct place, instead of in this thread..

How is this hot? It's just £5 off?
