Been looking for a cheap Gopro for ages - although you would have to use a VERY annoying code that forces you to sign-up ad use the credit they offer, you recieve £30 off. Just make sure you clear the credit so you dont get charged, then I believe you can close the account.

Voucher Code: 4YAEK
£30 off First Credit Orders Over £60 (REPRESENTATIVE APR 39.9% VARIABLE) plus Free Collect+ Delivery at Very

Great deal!

No brainer at this price. I have the SJ4000 which was the same price as this. From what I can tell, this base model is better quality than it. Love the grey colour. Nicer than that higher up silver models.

Interesting, I've been considering an SJ recently.

Great fun!

Do Very still claw back the £30 2 years later? Like Littlewoods ect...

I remember that massive thing a few years ago when they claimed a voucher was for a specific account and took all the funds back out of peoples bank accounts.

Also I hope GoPro warranty is good because Very are terrible from my experience.

Have to say I agree, Very are not a company I would bother using vouchers that were not specifically sent to you. They will come at you at a later date to get the money back.

Customer service is also rated poor:

Guys don't touch very with a barge pole ..bunch of bandits .Not worth the £30 discount for the grief they'll give you ..great bit of kit but buy elsewhere

This is an excellent price for this particular gopro but just remember this is the new low end go-pro it is no-where near as good as the hero 3/4 gopros which are priced much higher. This gopro is normally £99

Voted hot but just want to make sure people understand what they are getting.

Cue: loads and loads of very posts (£30 off basically anything, right?), until everyone recounts tales of how they'll bill you for the £30 12 months down the line...

ICY ICY COLD.

I have used very for many years, but only when I find discount codes on the internet and I have never had to pay back any of the discounts. Their are long lists of discount codes on the internet you put them in...if they work great if not you've not lost anything.

Except time on the phone from their "fraud department" as they will describe themselves, and the fact you would never have purchased from Very without the discount voucher in the first place - as their prices are never competitive without the voucher. Due to them coming at you at a much later date, you will be unable to simply return the item.

It is a good price, if the voucher works fine and if you don't mind the hassle in the event the company changes its mind at a later date. Sure they cover themselves very well in their T&C's

If you are a geniune 'New Customer', sure you will be fine. If your Tesco 'change your email' new customer, I would be a little bit more hesitant.

The other thing to note is that if there is a massive influx of orders for the GoPro using this voucher (and lets face it, this is cheap), they are more likely to look at the details of the voucher users.

Very customer service is first class
Only use codes sent to you and pay your bill on tine and you don't gave any problems

I recently scones £200 and never got an option for 12m interest free

I emailed me and they added it no questions asked...spot on

i have one of these

Great price OP! Went for the Hero 3 White Edition myself due to being able to swap the battery and take it out of the casing (if I get any scuffs on it). Hopefully should lead to it lasting quite a while. Now I need to do something exciting to film!

very hot, highly recommended

Hotter than a camels todger.

And as for the very complaints. I have been with them for two years and had no money took back off me, in fact if you buy this and leave it three or four months, they are emailing you with another voucher for another £30 off order. Free next day delivery for orders before 9 pm and you can pay off in three equal monthly payments to avoid interest. Buy this all day long.

I bought a tablet off them using the code and arranged to pay off in 3 interest free installments.

Later I checked my statement and found they had taken the voucher back off me and were now not taking any payments but were charging me interest

Every single phone call (there were a fair few) ran this way

- I explain problem
- Yes, I can see there's a problem, I'll -email- (yes, email) our accounts department to rectify it
- Email? Can't I speak to someone who can do something?
- No

repeat

Never again

Incidently when I bought the tablet off a HotUkDeals thread I saw all the complaints and thought, yep, but I have a perfect credit history and will pay it off straight away so I'll be fine. Live and learn

Of course they are going to help you buy something, its when you need their help with warranty claims or product support, or non-deliveries then the trouble begins!

Voted cold and will avoid very at all costs.

Sweet deal - wanted one of these for ages! Hot Hot Hot

Code isn't valid

Do they have a version that has a removable battery ? I am climbing kilimanjaro, this would be fantastic to have, but the fixed battery means once its dead, its dead. I would need a model that I can buy an extra battery for, and replace once its ran flat.

The waterproof case is handy, no doubt it will rain heavily on the climb, so its good to know the camera is waterproof

You could try a SJ4000, video quality is excellent, build quality is no GoPro. MicroUSB socket is a little fragile. Can use Gopro mounts or cheapo equivalents on ebay.

A bit of DIY is required on the supplied mounts as they dont lock well (you sandpaper the shiny plastic around the joints). the cheapo mounts on ebay also suffer it. There is a Techmoan video on it. Skip to 1.40 - nothing major.

It also comes with an external charger and battery option (single or in kits - example):

Have you ever heard of Anker? They make some v.v.good external battery packs which will recharge this easily (and all your other tech devices that will run out of battery on the climb!)

Where did you buy your SJ4000?
I just bagged a load of Bespoke £10 for £5 spend vouchers for Amazon....so I am hoping there is a cheap SJ4000 on there that I can put these vouchers towards

Many thanks

i got my Sj4000 of ebay for £56

Just do your research and make sure you end up with a genuine SJCAM. There are lot of videos on youtube telling you how to identify a fake.

Up to about a month ago sellers were bundling SJ4000 with 3 year warranties from squaretrade for an extra £15. This was a no brainer. The warranty offers have all vanished.........unfortunately.

Using a battery pack on SJ4000 - The SJ4000 will not charge in use, I tried it by strapping a battery to the helmet along with the camera - the strain also broke the USB port on mine. Not a problem , I charge using the external battery charger and can view the footage by removing the MicroSD card.

However, the little battery charger in the link above is powered by USB, so you could use it to charge a spare battery while you were using the camera using one of those external USB batteries mentioned.

I've bought 2 in past, both from Ebay sellers okletsgoo and supertrade4you - but there are heaps (they were £60-£65). That was 9 months ago though.

Batteries and charger were from goodseller.77

The SJ4000 suffers from a lot fakes, you can use the links in Techmoans YouTube video summary if your concerned. The other thing to note is that they changed the angle of view - it was 170 degrees and I think they have changed it down on some models to 135 degrees - so read the description and choose a seller with the best option for you.

Plenty of Amazon sellers, but I cant say if any are fakes (some of the do seem too cheap <£40):

Code is now invalid?
Shame

Hot deal but I think that I'll just stick with my SJ4000 (genuine). It works best if kept in the HDR mode all the time. :-)

SJ 4000 has wifi, the wifi version. £55

What is the difference between this and Hero 3 White?

BTW I've just bought SJ4000 from Singapore few days ago on asian auction website. I've received not genuine (not made by SJCAM) product, wrote to seller and received full refund without need to send it back.
