This is fantastic stuff. I won't use any other wood glue now.
However, this is available cheaper on Amazon.

I did. I'd tell you what happened but my lips are sealed.

Not saying this product is no good, but I once bought some Gorilla super glue. It was, by far, the worst super glue I have ever tried, so I now avoid the brand.

I remember seeing stacks of it in aldi Southampton last weekend. Sure it was less than a fiver. So may be worth a look in your local one

Currently £5.38 on Amazon with free delivery on Prime.Order up to midnight for delivery tomorrow..

Cheaper on Amazon as others have said. Personally I prefer Titebond III for the longer work time on bigger glue ups and the water proofing for anything outdoors ... Sets harder than the wood it joins!

1 litre bottle from Amazon for £8 20 is better value.
Currently out of stock, but can still be ordered for delivery once available.
Got it for £3 at lidl
This stuff is external weather rated too, so it as good as titebond 3 in that respect. I use it everyday of the year as a woodworker and I wouldn't buy anything else. Once you clamp two pieces of wood with this stuff, it's the wood that will break, not the joint
Best brand of wood glue.
Really good.

Or £7.79 if you subscribe and save and not in a hurry with Amazon!

Same here, but people swear by it. I've always just used anything like Loctite without any real preference. Tried "Gorilla Glue" and it was trash -- and yet expensive by comparison.
I've always just used Evostik wood glue. The only good from Gorilla Glue is that O'Keeffe's handcream. Go figure...

I bought their araldite stuff and it was worse than the Wilko brand stuff. I was using it on some broken toys which broke again easily and ended up redoing with the cheap stuff which is still going.

the one in aldi is only 236ml for 3.99... just thought i should point that out
I just use PVA from 5 ltr cheap tubs, and use plasterboard adhesive to fill gaps and add support to joints etc.
Fitted a shower enclosure yesterday drilled through tiles had no plasterboard fixings, so pushed in plasterboard adhesive and then the rawlplugs left a few hours, did nice secure job.

That's all wood glue is, PVA in small bottles.
this stuff is what's keeping the keyboard tray i'm currently typing on attached, and has been for years now. also very good when you're assembling ikea in addition to the wooden dowels, makes the furniture MUCH studier. hot.
Could I use this to secure composite edging strip to my composite deck. It’s an L shape profile to finish of the decking. Using screws would be too visible. Basically I’m looking for permanent and weather proof
no better than generic pva adhesive.

Gorilla Wood Glue looks like PVA adhesive mixed with Gorilla Original polyurethane glue to me.

Interesting, they shouldn't have bothered.
The Aldi one is 236ml at 3.99, making it 8.99 for 532ml.

As others have said, it's cheaper on Amazon anyway, 532ml being 5.38 and cheaper per ml if you buy the 1l bottle.

Go for this, it's waterproof and can be used on more than just wood

Only 236mil in Aldi but if you don't need loads a good buy!
Just bought a bottle of this today for the first time & used it to secure mitred quadrant at base of my wooden porch columns - I can categorically say it is amazing stuff.

Gorilla glue is waterproof too
The standard gorilla high strength is fantastic I always spray water on one surface and the glue on the other ,just don’t get it on your hands it’s a bastid to get the black marks off
greendayadam11/05/2019 15:38

Yes, The OP is for Gorilla wood glue which is water resistant. The link I shared for the poster who asked about suitability for decking was for the Original Gorilla glue which works on more material, is stronger and 100% waterproof.

I don't quite understand how this got so hot when it's cheaper on amazon even without prime
quakerphil11/05/2019 10:22

There are varying qualities of PVA and also additives are added to make it water resistant etc. I have bought cheap PVA in the past and had joints fail prematurely. Better off sticking ( ) to the decent brands. I personally use Evo stick and it has never failed me yet.

I wonder if you got a dodgy batch because I find it much better and stronger than Loctite.

Maybe, I never tried it again so I wouldn't know.

Until you need to replace a part of the furniture and can’t because it’s glued together. Terrible advice.
Does it work on other animals?
