Is this stuff any good? I know that the gorilla glue is awesome.

in my experience, it's not the stickiest stuff I've ever seen, but it is thick, and strong as hell, just not the best at actually sticking to everything ..

£1.94 + free P&P if you don't want ' add on '

Recently bought the bigger size and can say it's very sticky.

Is this better than 2" gaffer tape?

Used the bigger version of this to pull the inner wheel emblem out of my car wheels to replace them, so didn't need to take the wheels off to do it. Amazing stuff.

Great find op

Better than genuine duct tape though light weight duct is better for wild camping. Neck & neck with genuine gaffer tape (most are fake) & even stronger, water resistance wise genuine gaffer tape is ahead, so depends on use. As the tape of choice around the house & car: indispensable.

Got my replacement from amazon last week. Tape a couple of inches on the back of card holder or wallet or wrap around a pen or long key.

Thank you for such a decent, helpful reply.

Ordered. Thanks. Heat added

Sounds a bit cruel sticking tape to a gorilla but I'll give it a go.

'Tape a couple of inches on the back of card holder or wallet or wrap around a pen or long key' - I need to know why I would want to do this....PLEASE TELL ME, IT'S DRIVING ME INSANE TRYING TO WORK IT OUT.

StFour people liked my comment, yet no-one has filled me in on what he is going on about. Perhaps no-one knows, apart from him. And Him, of course. (the baby jeez)

So you can find the end?

So you can find the end?

Wouldn't that mean my wallet/pen/key is attached to a roll of tape....? That seems like a bit of an inconvenience.

He doesn't mean the wallet you keep your money in, X) how about a plastic cd wallet? or plastic badge wallet?

Also, pretty sure he means a key you dont use, or a disposable pen.

Basically, find something - anything if you have problems finding the tape end and need to use it quickly, or spend 20 minutes finding the end! your choice!

If you spend more than five seconnds trying to find the end of thick tape like this then you should go to the doctor, there are problems.

Personally, i don't have a problem, but we aren't all the same are we!
Not easy for some people with fat fingers especially if the tape adhesive is strong,

sometimes in a working environment, you don't want to be messing around with tape ends even for 5 seconds!

i can't believe how stupid people are on this forum.. of course it doesn't stick very well, you need to shave the gorilla first.. duhh..

This is great on cracked, dusty surfaces but is rendered completely useless by the tiniest bit of water.

Think OP meant so you've always got a bit on you for impromptu patch up jobs when out and about.

Does no one just fold over the very tip of the tape so it's easy to find and get off next time?

Only normal people.

So this is the real stuff for waxing a gorilla. What a job!

hehe this thread still going?

Well to answer you in trekking and wild camping and backpacking round the world the more experienced ones of us been doing that with duct/gaffer tape for years and now this tape instead of taking a whole roll. Basically as it's said in wild camping, ultra light style, a little duct tape fixes 1001 problems. Also some bikers & drivers & others carry a little tape for emergency use in mechanical electrical gear etc. as a short term fix.

Of course if you just commute daily on a train or tube or bus and only do package holidays:
