Very good price for this great tape, typically around £6 on the high street. Free next day delivery over £10 or free collection from Toolstation.

I've found this tape to be very effective on a range of surfaces: cracked glass, greasy plastic, wood etc.

Aldi do not "have it", theirs is a completely different product by a completely different manufacturer.

A comparison between the two is meaningless unless you can vouch for the quality of each product, which you haven't thus far done.

I gave up on this, the glue is so thick it eventually creeps exposing the glue if it is on a flexible item, the standard 3M stuff is a lot better in the long run.
Only 25mm wide, this is the going rate.
The 48mm one is regularly on offer for around £3 at Aldi
The amount of stuff I have help together with this stuff is quite funny, great product.
Fair price for the shops but If you don't need it straight away CPC Farnell has it for £2.11 delivered.
Straight question
ARE ALL the gorilla products as good as they say from glues to tape Although they are generally expensive are they worth it
Thanks.
Can honestly say. These are great products. Tapes especially. Just ordered another 3 from Cpc Farnell, thanks for the heads up from goldy. Never thought of looking on there site. Found and bought... 😁

I've tried expensive brands and aldi a few times. There is not a chance in hell I would pay 5x the price for gorilla brand.

I purchased some of their double sided stuff which claimed to hold upto 15kgs, i used it for some led lights ( max 3kg) on my car instead of screwing them into the rear bumper, when it first stuck it was ok, but next morning it was on the floor, and it was in June and the overnight temp was 19..
Wrap in cling film and keep out of sun or cold temperatures. I have a tape box I unload off van in winter or summer and have some of this tape. It's thick vs thinner versions but has its uses. Heat

They do "have it" but @jeeeeeez linked the wrong product. This is very much a supermarket brand aimed at Diy's and as Aldi stock the Gorilla brand it would make sense that they source their own brand from the same supplier.

Great price and works great on the missus when I tell her I'm going to the pub with the lads.. also a great hair remover for her moustache!
Where is 86cm missing?

Ok, so they have it. Well, kind of. But at £3.99 and for silver, rather than black at £2.67 here. Ok, Aldi's is a bit longer and wider, but you still can't say this is a bad deal based on what Aldi stock because you're still comparing apples to oranges.

If this same actual tape costs less in Aldi, fair enough. Until then, this is a good deal for those that want to buy this brand, size and colour of tape.

Why wrap in cling film? To protect from moisture?
Yeah. And protects roll edge.
Wow first posted deal and it's rated really hot, glad it's helped a lot of people!

Seems the price has come down a lot recently, as I'm sure last time I was looking around it was over £5 at wilko etc. Still it is slightly cheaper at Toolstation than any of those retailers and the next day free delivery is in my opinion greater convience than going into the shops to buy it.

I've only tried the tape and the glue. The glue I wouldn't rave about, there's probably cheaper alternatives that are just as good - though I did hear new legislation has banned the most potent chemicals from superglue use meaning all glue has become weaker.

The tape however has been better than anything else I've tried. It's worked on every use I've tried except for a cracked waterbutt, and in all fairness it makes no claim to be waterproof/able to seal against water. The most impressive use I've had from it is that it's held the plastic door on my car's undertray (which provides access to the oil drain) for an entire 12 months between oil changes, I put new tape on to be safe after the oil change but it was still holding well... meaning it's held up for 12 months in the elements despite being on greasy plastic and having to drive thousands of motorway miles, road spray, grit, range of tempreature fluctuations and everything else!

The quality and thickness of gorilla tape makes it far stronger, meaning you need less and it's more likely to work. The roll of gorilla glue isn't 1/5th the width of the other roll despite being one 1/5th the length, it's much less of a difference, which is because there is much more glue and a thicker tape used by gorilla. So if you do want to compare entirely on quantity of material and not the actual quality, the difference it much less than you make out. When I'm using it to hold together valuable or important things I want the best which is most likely to hold. It maybe more expensive but if it works out 3p more per use and I know it's more likely to work then I think it's false economy to use anything else.

It's half the width and 1/5th the length. So 10x the cost per area.

That means if you need half as much tape it's still 5x more expensive.

I've used gorilla tape before and it's not even twice as good.

Sorry I wasn't clear. What I mean is the roll in your hand doesn't weight 1/5th as much and the thickness of all the tape on the roll isn't 1/5th as much either. This is because they put more glue on the tape, making it use more space, and use a thicker material for the tape. Therefore it's not reasonable to compare the two.

It's like comparing the cheapest printing paper to a 350gsm paper, you could say they're both A4 size and there's 500 sheets in both packets, but you're actually getting a lot more product and therefore weight and quality in the 350gsm paper.
