Just bought this as the price seems good. Not been this cheap £17.98 for over a year.£30 seems the norm amazon flash deals are £24. Just plugged in to check and is brighter than my 300 watt halogen also the new light just gives off a better crisp flood of light.

Cons- lead is short 3ft so will need to cut plug off to extend (only remove the plug ,the warranty will not be void)

Mains goes in the top off light with grommet not sure if over time water could get in then down to pir. No complants off this in reviews but i think i will run some sealant around it.

I'm just returning the 50w version as it was faulty - it was on day and night constantly. I had to pay someone to put it up then replace it as well so I wouldn't recommend these.
Am after a 50w led security pir floodlight. Anyone recommend one?
3 pin plug with outdoor light? Is it allowed still?
Thanks op. Bought....
I am after one but it has to point 90 degrees to the wall so not sure thus is the best one for me.
Also amazon are not the sellers, third party, so no warranty

Why not?
Ok maybe not needed after part P changes but why would a plug make it now less compliant?

If you cut a fitted plug off. It spontaneously combusts and renders your plug wiring abilities disabled.

I bought one of the LAP brands from Screwfix when they were on clearance. Been up for at least four months now. No complaints. Had a two year warranty as well. I previously bought 50w floodlights from eBay and they both failed in a very short time.
