Halfcost have got shelves for £1.99 each. These are essentially just the same as the pieces of contiboard you can buy at b&q but really cheap. This size would probably be £10+ in the shops.

Just bought 6 to build some shelving in a cupboard.

Possibly usefull for my shed, ta.

Voted hot just for the title ;-)

This isn't wood. Contiboard is particle-board, definitely not timber.

Indeed. I'd be reluctant to use it in my shed like the poster a couple above, unless it's a very dry shed.

The picture on the website is the oddest looking beech colouring I have ever seen! Be careful with Halfcost, they are renowned for supplying incorrect items, I have only used them twice, and twice they have had the description and incorrect product listed.

Buy with caution, you may end up with beech, you may end up with mahogany as the photo indicates.

I think you'll find that although the photo is of a mahogany colour, the contiboard shelves are available in a beech colour as shown in that small strip labelled "Beech". Obviously at one time this was available in a choice of the 2 colours and the strip is supposed to give an indication of what the beech colour looks like, except it's too small to do any good!

Still, at least the site does state it is beech that you will be getting, or supposedly so. Heat for the price alone from me!!

My main point here though is twice I have ordered from Halfcost and they have messed up description with item, clothing had to be returned, so as said order with caution.

I concur with the above: misdescribed items abound, wrong measurements etc.
However, good buys can be had.

That's funny, well to the outsider it is anyhow! Thanks for the heads up guys & gals, will give this company a miss then I think.

Cheers!

Ordered a dozen of these five days ago. They've just arrived, each in individual cardboard containers! They are indeed the lighter (beech) colour. Don't forget free delivery over £10 is still on until July 10th.
