That's a very misleading sales tactic by Amazon. Especially as it quotes the price followed by the term "subscribe and save " you expect the price to be similar or better for each subsequent payment. I'm pretty sure under British law this could be deemed as misleading under the sales of goods act.

You always save at least 5% off of the normal price. The normal price being the one in effect at the time of your future scheduled deliveries for customers that don’t choose s&s.
However, that normal price could vary, and yes, it’s not clear that will happen other that the statement “We will send you a reminder email before each delivery showing the items, price and any applicable discount.“
