I saw this on MSE and I searched here but couldn't find it.

To help you cook up a storm in the kitchen, weekly meal box subscription service Gousto* is offering a £20 discount to newbies on your first order until Sun 1 Apr. This’ll get you ingredients for three different meals that it says will feed two people - effectively six dinners - for £10 (norm £30). Or, if you want more, the code will get you three different meals that’ll feed four adults or two adults and 2-3 children, depending on appetite - effectively 12 dinners - for £22.75 (norm £42.75).

Go online to Gousto* and pick three different recipes - the 24 current recipes include South Indian chicken cashew curry, Mediterranean fish stew and ginger tofu & mushroom noodles. The Blagged code MSE123 should be automatically applied. These boxes contain all the ingredients and recipes you need to make the meals yourself from scratch. However, you may need to add a few 'basic' ingredients from your cupboard, such as salt, pepper and oil - these will be listed on the recipes. Delivery's free.

Warning: You'll be automatically signed up to a subscription and will have to pay full-price for each box from your fourth box onwards if you don't cancel. The code will also give you a £10 discount on your second and third boxes, making them £20 or £32.75 each, but we don't think that'll work out as good value (see 'what's each box worth?' below), so you could always cancel after your first box (see how below).

What do you get in a box?

You can choose your meals from 24 options available in the weekly menu, including meat, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free.

An example of a Gousto meal is South Indian chicken cashew curry, and your box would include a recipe card and these ingredients: 3 garlic cloves, 1 tbsp garam masala, 2 tbsp tomato paste, 2 tomatoes, 20g fried onions, 1 red chilli, 30g cashew nuts, 1 red onion, 130g basmati rice, 1 large British chicken breast fillet, 5g coriander, 1 chicken stock cube and 6 cardamon pods.

What's each box worth?

We worked out this meal would roughly cost £4ish if bought from Tesco, based on the weight used of each ingredient - so three meals would very roughly cost around £12ish, plus delivery. But ultimately you'd spend a lot more if you bought all the ingredients yourself, as Gousto gives you right amount of each. So we reckon £10 for three meals that'll feed two people (ie, six dinners) is a pretty tasty deal. Plus, there's the added bonus of zero food waste.

How will my dinners arrive?

Your ingredients will be boxed up with ice packs and biodegradable wool to keep food fresh and cool. Sadly, Gousto doesn't deliver to all postcodes - it lists excluded postcodes on its help page.

IMPORTANT - how to cancel your subscription

If you decide not to continue with the subscription, you'll need to pause your subscription online via your account* by 12pm, three days before your next delivery. You can check this date by logging in to your profile

£8 quidco aswell fo r a first order...

Hot sadly I’ve ordered before so can’t do it again. But the food we received was fantastic.
the quality of ingredients is fairly good but they missed two things out of my first order and from looking on trustpilot this appears very common which isnt good.
Used gousto before on their first 2 boxes for half price promotion and the food was outstanding. If you're someone who gives in to takeaway too often it's definitely worth the full price but not for me in general.
Anyone had issues with cancelling? or Quidco?

Use these all the time, never had issues with cashback, in fact it pays very quickly. Cancelling is just a click on the website, no call needed.
Also, I have never had an ingredient over, or missing in the dozens of boxes I have received.

Ditto. Lots of ingredients left out too!!. Cancelled order. Not just because of missing food but the HUMONGOUS amount of packaging that goes into sending a very small package out. Such a drain on resources/environment. Told them that too.

Quidco has tracked immediately for me. Not sure if it will be confirmed though as the T&Cs say cash back not in conjunction with other offers. I’ll wait and see- happy to to pay £10 for 3 meals anyway
edit: cashback may NOT pay. I still think it's a good value, but read the above comment first....

With Quidco (which I hardly use but TCB doesn't have this offer) cashback of £8 this is an amazing deal, £1.99 for ingredients for 6 meals to be delivered to your door, in an ice box. Really brill. Only thing is 8am - 7pm delivery window may not suit all and of course cancelling should you choose to do so.

I've gone for it this morning Nice one.

Topcashback have £6.30 for gousto topcashback.co.uk/gou…to/
My Gusto experience was not good, firstly Quidco didn't track, they also sent what appeared to be a lot of missing or wrong ingredients, turned out it was the recipe card was wrong (1 of 3), also I got something veggie when I don't think I would have ordered that, unsure. I can't 100% blame them as they did credit me one meal for 2(which I probably won't claim) and I found some of the ingredients hiding in a brown paper bag at the back of my fridge today.
