This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

Another Govee light strip on offer, this time a 5m one with remote and UK plug.
If you saw my previous post, you'd have seen my smaller 2m usb kit being used on my desk. This would be too big for myself, although there are a fair few applications you can use it on.

For this price you'll have to use code 5D55SSGV at the checkout

As the price is above £20 before the discount is added, this means non prime members don't have to pay an extra delivery fee on top (£4.49)

Odd. When I posted one of these offers I got the following after it was removed. Odd how rules seem to be arbitrarily applied!

Hi ScotBoy,

We’ve removed your thread "2 x 5m LED strips and power supply + accessories - £22.09 / Sold by Govee UK and Fulfilled by Amazon" as the merchant Govee is currently unsuitable for listing on hotukdeals.
Picture is very misleading, these are simply the cheap analogue 5050 RGB LED strips that can be bought very cheap.
The photo showing the LED's being different colours suggest it's the far more expensive digital and individually addressable LED strips!
If you can be bothered to wait a couple of weeks the deal bellow is not only cheaper but a lot better imho.
You can control the lights via app on phone or via voice with O.K Google.

Unless you run a parallel path cable to connect at the end of the 10m run it will look naff!!
Just having it powered from one end of the 10m run means the LEDS will no longer give off a nice uniform and consistent light due to voltage drop along the strip!

I just got a strip Alexa enabled and my Yamaha amp seems to change the colour ! So I have had to cover the IR with foil... wish I could reprogram.
There is another similar / identical(?) Govee 5m for a little more, £16.99: amazon.co.uk/Gov…W6W - what's the difference please?
Good price - I paid £23 for these last week - They are actually not too bad...

When did you post that deal?
This model does not work with Alexa, OK google and other smart devices. This one does from amazon with code EOE7O9BH should be 40% off.

Edit: Code expired today.

Week and a half ago. Maybe it was because the product name was called 'Minger LED Strips'. No... that is what is was literally called!

Yes, I saw the Minger ones today, example: amazon.co.uk/Non…0A/ - you're right, it is "Sold by Govee UK and Fulfilled by Amazon." - very strange, but 'Minger' could be the reason why, or perhaps Govee were serving a temporary ban when you posted.

Anyway, these are the minimum criteria for posting any thirdparty sellers on here (plus, they must not be banned):
"As a minimum we look for:
- Ebay - UK based business seller with 12 months feedback of 300+ with a minimum score of no less than 95%.
- Amazon/other marketplace sites - Business seller with 12 months feedback of 300 with a score of mostly “Above Average” or for Amazon 95%+
- AliExpress - marketplace has been trading for at least a year with 300 feedback and a score of not less than 95%."
Is there anyway of powering this using batteries?
I'd like to put around the bathroom mirror but no wall supply in there...

"The promotional code you entered is not valid." Doesn't look like that code works with the more expensive set.

I also found these which are Alexa and Google Home compatible but cheaper, but same thing.. the codes do not work.

Can you use multipe of these sets, but not connected together, and work as one?
I bought the 3m govee strips someone posted before. Easy to install and operate. Happy with them, these look like they have more options

Would these lights be bright enough in a room not to use light switch lol

It happens to me all the time. A few days later somebody else posts the deal. When i question the answer is usually the seller was not allowed 2 days ago and suddenly it is allowed now. They have no clue what they are doing, or you post something, they go after the seller, if the seller agrees to pay its share, suddenly you can trust the seller...so frustrating.

Anyone know of a good version of this that is waterproof for use in the garden?

They should be bright enough for mood lighting. But not main lighting in the room.

If you want brighter strips look at the RGBW ones.

Worth a punt for the price cheers
Great quality. Recommend.
HomeBargains do one with remote for 4.99, think it is 2M or maybe more
Does this one have the mic to play along with music
Water proof??

NOT working!!

I purchased few roles 2 days ago with the code and they arrived today. I have just checked the code, it is expired - sorry.
I think the mobile app connectivity, quality, IP65 and value of the Govee in comparison to other "cheaper led" are brilliant.

Can you link these please
I bought this a couple of weeks ago for my girls bed.

Wanted the remote so she could change the colours herself.

Plugged it into a smart plug so I can turn it on/off with Alexa.

I've got the Alexa version and it kinda sucks unless its connected via Bluetooth the timer won't work and you lose a lot of functions.

Yes, if you use a 12V battery. Although you can also get 5V RGB LEDs that it would be easier to get a battery pack for - really easy if you get some with a USB plug.

Or you can power it from the middle of the 10m strip (i.e. where the two 5m strips are joined) so that you've effectively got two 5m strips in parallel, but less wire than powering it from either end.
Perhaps the government are branching out.... 😜
