great if your in the USA i guessHow much are UK maps

I'm just looking, it has an SD card slot and I have read that tomtom SD cards will work fine on these

I'm pretty sure there is a google maps version that can be downloaded for free

i love dealextreme! always good & cheap for weird gadgets! LOL

you are rather pesimistic.

You get

SATNAV
Media Plater for the car
MP3 player that streams via your car radio
Windows games console for the car
Photo Viewer for the car
...and a e-book reader

All for less than £75 and you are worried about the maps being out of date

I have to say, and I think everyone can see this coming like a herd of wild buffalo racing over the hillside,......there's no pleasing some people

I'm giving up on Dealextreme.
Too many things don't work.

i know! what are they thinking?! they ALWAYS get mine wrong! i soooo want to pay the extra VAT and £10 handling charge that parcel farce charge! :whistling:

If correct info put on customes declaration expect this to cost over £100 at the end of the day. Personally I'd rather buy a UK sourced satnav with up-to-date UK maps and more accessible customer services in the event that anything goes wrong. Given the plethora of cheaper satnavs out there at the moment, voted cold.

How often have you ordered goods of this value from there?

3 times acutally!

anything over £18 (about $27) is liable for custom charges. i've had ALOT of orders over this yet never charged

thought they changed that to about 100 last year no?

not sure about that as the last thing i got charged on was in august & that was valued at £60. had to pay about £35! :w00t:

hhhhhooohhhuummmm

so long as its got win ce it can use anything apart from garmin please make sure ya do buy a sat nav with 128sd ram or ya will prob get memory errors in fact the best thing ta do is order one off ebay 128sdram blue tooth the lot for a bout a 95 quid and all done for ya KEEP AWAY FROM 64SDRAM ONES YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.............

had 4 laptop batts from this site paid 35 quid each all came with customs dec of 3quid they really are sloppy on there custom docs

dodgy site
dodgy goods
often dodgy customers

Rather pay for something with a worthwhile warranty myself. Buying from there is like buying the chinese version of Bush.

Strange, i have shopped with dealextreme for many years, All goods arrvied and no Custome Charges and quick shipping. must disagree with Dodgey Site (Plenty of products and secure) Dodgey goods (Purchased plenty of Dealextreme from the glorious Dingoo A320 etc) and i doubt im dodgey but then again peeps have opinions.

Good deal and if hackable which it looks like it is, will run any windows CE Sat NAv software so happy days.

No customs charges = dodgy site
plenty of products and secure perhaps but plenty of cloned , faked and copyright theft to go with it.
Sounds good that you can play with it..but £75 would get you a decent UK sat nav with up to date software.
AS others said, you cannot drive and do the other things, so what is the point?

Yes I agree with what you said.

but you cannot beat Dealextreme for some gadgets they have some really good stuff but just stay away from their cheap clones and electronics period as they are noo good,

Dont buy this satnav EVER! you will not be impressed. - stick to the cheaper goodies on there that dont require battereis or AC power :-)

OP I wont vote either way, as i wouldnt of thought it fair hehe

But good look.

I have 1 question for you OP? did you purchase thsi device?

I bought a better one!
