Just wanted to let any of you Gmail/ iPhone users know that GPush is now available in the app store. It basically pushes your gmail messages to your phone - a service that up to now has not been available.

About time too, this has been pending for weeeeeks!

Hope it any good and what they say it is.

hey thanks for the heads up on this one been waiting ages for push on my sky email account (powered by google) which works with this app.

One thing i did notice is that the application seemed to fail verification on my iphone when wifi was on successful over 3g.

Iphone just seems to get better and better.

Cheers,
Glenn

Yeah I had some problems with the wifi on and off, but I just kept trying it and it decided to work after about 10 mins! Seems to be working fine now.

Super news.

check the OP

Thanks to the OP for the update. :-D

FAIL connection problems now appears that the company offering the app have server problems as a result pulling the app from the app store till they are resolved.

May be it is only me. I couldn't find the GPush on the App store on my iPhone.

I'm confused.

I already get emails pushed to my iphone using the standard email button, whats the difference between that & this app??

Gmail/ Googlemail doesn't currently push to the iPhone. You might have it set to fetch which mean the phone checks for email every 15/30/60 minutes. This has quite a bad affect on your battery life.

With push you get you email sent straight through to you phone as and when you receive it. Kind of like a text message.

Anyway, checked the Twitter page and the app should be up and running again today. Looks like they're just ironing out some server issues.

About bloody time too..

The app will go up in price in approx. one weeks time.

Is this just push for one gmail account or will it work with multiple gmail accounts ?

one account, a new premium version will be out soon for multiple accounts.
