Great find. Heat added

i got this for £25 a year ago - this is a great price!

got this for £24 4-5 months back.. so great price for me.

great price voted hot!

Just reserved one thanks, perfect timing as my little un is 4 in January

Paid £25 for this 6 months ago and thought it was a bargain then so great find! Good seat too my daughter loves hers.

Says I can collect from 1pm tomorrow - but if the offers only on till midnight tonight - will they not charge me full price tomorrow?

Thanks just reserved one!

Just a quick note on this. I was recently in a head on car crash (I was the driver, not at fault). My 6 and 5 year olds were in the back on booster seats. My 6 year old had his arm broken (I broke both bones in my leg). I cannot stress how important side protection is after this experience, I am currently looking for new car seats. Please think of this even if you spend a few more pounds, I would now with the benefit of hindsight. It was a terrible thing for him to go through and I hope no-one buying this item ever experiences the same.

We used to have the Graco junior plus about 5 years ago - then I noticed that the Graco junior was a Which DO NOT BUY because of the poor side protection..............

This is what they said at the time in a severe accident, these seats are not protecting your child adequately, and your child could die or be seriously injured as a result. They should be withdrawn. These companies are good players, with good products on offer too. There's no reason to sell unsafe seats. It's irresponsible

Its possible this is a different design but it looks similar.

To find the safest seat - sign up for a trial Which report and check their safety ratings.

Absolutely, I had a Britax Evolva 123 that was stupidly in the boot (no isofix and was temporarily typically removed to transport something). I bought that seat on the basis of a Which review and I highly recommend doing the same. You may well be wasting your money buying seats based on their price alone. I certainly never will and I am as skint as the next man. You *really* don't want to be considering this in hindsight.

I cant see how side protection would protect your kids arms (unless you restrained their arms) when you have had a head on collision severe enough to break both your legs, surely the front is where the impact would come from and not the sides.
Don't take my comment the wrong way I am sorry you had your accident but your comment doesn't seem valid to me.

He broke it at the top of his arm by the shoulder, it can only have been the shockwave travelling through the car that broke his arm and if he had been in a seat with side protection then his shoulder would not have been able to make contact with the car and that shock would have been absorbed by a decent seat. You don't realise what forces are in play during an accident, I thought it weird too. I only broke one leg (both bones) btw.

I completely understand where you're coming from. Some children of a family we know were involved in a side impact with tragic results. Following that crash I decided to check how safe the Graco Juniors were and after seeing the Which report immediately upgraded to the 2/3 Evolva isofit. The difference in the seats is huge......

That said this may be a completely differrent seat to the Graco Junior Plus but before buying a seat I would check out the latest Which review and see how safe it is.

Can you explain how side impact protection would protect a child in case of a head on impact like yours?

I did in post #15 :-) someone asked the same question. I know peoples' immediate reaction would be how would side protection help, but fact is, head on collision, he broke his left arm and he was behind front passenger. The impact was more on my side so any shockwave must have travelled diagonally, my other boy was unscathed thankfully. Yes it is weird and I wouldn't have expected it either but I guess you only find these things out when they happen.

This is a perfect gaming chair for all of the Call of Duty players on xbox

Have a look at the video on the Which page I've linked to above. Kids get thrown around even in a frontal impact. Of course all this is completely irrelevant if you know you will never have a side impact. Unfortunately the thing about accidents is you never know when or how they are going to happen.........

Absolutely awful car seat.
You may as well save your £20 and use nothing.
The plastic is cheap, can be snapped incredibly easily.
The side protection is awful, regardless of the fact it's barely there.
Plus it's horrendously thin and uncomfortable fabric.

Think child safety not less money!

Which have tested these seats
which.co.uk/bab…ws/
and it doesn't look good..........

A seat that you will be happy with and your child will be comfortable in, and you wont have any problems with it.....unless you are in a crash.

We install child seats to protect our kids when we are in an accident, and this will certainly not do that as well as other carseats, so I vote cold.

Good one..heat added...in process of placing an order ;-)

Ah I see. Pardon my ignorance.

Also worth bearing in mind the fact that kids are much more likely to be injured or killed in the front of the car than the back. Not only that but almost a third of all crashes happen within 1 mile of home.

So no argument of "it's only a mile to school and he likes it in front" is going to cut any mustard.
