My missus picked up one of these instore after spending what has been an age looking at suitable car seats for our 4 year old. Compared to many other seats, this one has decent padding around the head and a very comfortable seat to sit on. It also converts into a booster only seat if required.

Seems a decent bargain to me as was £79.99 and is much better than the cheap seats you can pick up for around £30.

Don't forget ye ole Quidco too.

Can you suggest anything better? All the stage 2/3 seem to be a bit flimsy to me. Thanks

Look at the Britax Evolva 2/3 and the Maxi Cosi Rodi or Rodi XR, you can see by the pics below how they come round the head much better and along the sides as well, which is vital in a crash to prevent head and spinal injury these always come high in the Which tests

Does this include the maxi cosi rodi SPS car seat or is this not as good? I ask as it is significantly cheaper. Thanks

SPS is fine, just different comfort

I'd actually agree with this - the Britax seats are way more solid and come out top in Which tests (we also have an Britax Evolva Ultra 1-2-3) but are twice the price of this seat and they don't convert into just boosters - or not easily.

Many children go straight into boosters once they are heavy enough to come out of 5 point harnesses. Having seen a few videos on the effects on the child in a crash of just using a booster, I would not recommend this for a young child. However, this seat is a decent seat for the price and much better than the really cheap seats (or boosters) which aren't much different in price - it's also very easy to move from car to car.

Thanks

great thanks - we took our graco purchases back today and the SPS are on order. Many thanks

There is a decent review on it here but it says to check on the graco website that it fits in your car - apparently there is a car seat selector on the website that lets you put your car in and it tells you which seats are compatible?

Your text here

I can't find the selector on the site? Can anyone else?

hummmm.....I still can't get the edit button to work on this new site? I'm using opera?

Anyway the 'your text here' bit is the link to the review.

erm....sorry for spamming this thread but I've found it now here's the link hope it's some use to someone so I don't feel so bad about the 3 posts in a row!
