Great price , but a 90 day warranty puts me off
Delivery is extra £5 but still great price for a £170-200 phone

You get 6 moths under consumer rights and manufacturers warranty. Don't see the fuss for a massive saving on a nearly new phone that isn't that expensive - it's not years old having had a hard life for example.
Was just about to hit 'buy' then noticed that the finger print scanner is on the back. Isn't that a pain when trying to discreetly check your phone on the desk in meetings etc.?

Concentrate on your meetings . Just about every new phone with pointless extra-long display (and notch) has the fingerprint reader on the back now, only 'old school' phones don't.

Just said I was from Glasgow (or near enough) and they have one shop in the midlands.... How can I do a store pick up? title needs or description needs to add on the crazy amount for postage as most people wont be able to visit their one store

It was free for me, sorry
Amazing phone. Bought mum one last month for £200 off very (£30 off sale at the time).

It's a budget S8 is all I can say. It isn't sluggish, but I haven't tried gaming on it. But everything else is great.

Settings menus seem a little limited though (guess there's a way to unlock a full settings).

But at this price point, this is an amazing phone. Even at £200 it's a great phone still.

This has facial recognition as well the finger print scanner on the back is easily accessible. Unlike the Samsung S8 range. Where that's at the top off the phone on the backside off it.

This is a nicer location. Also the face ID is rather snappy considering it's price range.

The screen is nice and vibrant. The specs are great, expandable storage.

If I was looking for a budget phone (if I didn't have an S8). This would be it for me.
If I lost my phone tomorrow, I'd be all over this.
Thanks OP, I've snapped one up

It was £5 delivery but it could take a few days to arrive. I'm in no rush.

At risk of sounding stupid, how blatantly does one need to look at the phone for this? I guess you have to position your face in the virtual circle? Is it always 'listening' (looking) out for you or do you need to press the power button?

Honestly this was a surprise feature based on the budget phone.

You take a snap photo (rather quick to set up unlike the iPhone X which has a better quality control).

Double tap the screen or hit the power button and it was unlocking before the phone even showed it's lock screen.

I had no issues unlocking it in a dim room (light source from outside)
Not tried I'm a dark room though. But it was snappy and responsive from the get go.

But bare in mind this is from messing about with the phone. It's not my daily driver so haven't seen it fail a face unlock.

But I would still stick to the finger print reader. As I've gotten used to the S8 shuffle.

Tldr:

You would need the phone to be placed in a mirror like position. So glancing at an angle would be a no go.
But get yourself a smart watch (mi band 2), and have Bluetooth unlock enabled. As soon as the two devices are in range the phone (any android) is a swipe to unlock.

Just like Blue Peter, it's all so easy til you realise you've no double tape at home.
