Excellent TV at this price. Ambilight really surprised me, I thought it was a bit gimmicky until I bought one.
What are games like on this

I game on this but I'm not a serious gamer, I have a xbox one s which isn't 4k gaming but is hdr. games do pop out a bit, not much off a difference that I even really notice, it's only a 50hz refresh, which I wish was 120hz, they improved the one s specs a few months ago to be better than what the original xbox one s was ment to be, I still don't really notice any difference, but I'm well happy with it

Only because there general information doesn’t include a tick box for Ambilight- it is exclusive to Philips afterall so wouldn’t come up enough on their site.

It definitely does have Ambilight and it is superb. I don’t know much about the retailer and the quality of their service but I do know though this model new can be had from Argos for 379 atm. Personally, I’d take a punt on this as £300 for a 50inch Ambilight is the best deal I’ve seen all week.

You can literally see it in the picture
I have this exact same TV, also bought from AO. Horrific banding particularly noticeable on watching with alot of white in the image (which Philips claim is within tolerance - BS). My left speaker also vibrates and when the engineer came to fix, it was apparent it was vibrating against the case. Noise came back a few weeks later, I just stuck a bit of plastic between the case seals which has improved it considerably.

Also if using with a computer, the screen stutters if you watch anything fast moving. Note: setting the TV to 'Computer' sorts the stutter, but screen image is a fraction of the sharpness. Pain in the proverbial. Initially not a fan of Ambilight, but it does grow on you.
Cheapest delivery £19.95
I have the 55inch version of this tv, the tv has horrific motion problems, constant screen judder in any mode I put it in, for gaming its great no problems but for normal tv/films maybe pick something else up, the picture quality is very good, ambilight is okay, you don’t really notice it after a while tbh, if not for the motion problems I would have recommended it, also out of box settings look like trash be prepared to mess around with settings to get it right.

I can’t decide between this (which would save me buying the Philips light strip plus an extension pack and it would work with my other hue bulbs in the room) or a Samsung (which would mean I can continue to use a single remote for all as everything goes via a Samsung receiver then to the tv).
