Can anyone recommend this as a good unit please ?
This is excellent, I have a new one. It’s not too loud and very easy to set up.

This particular one is cheap and puts out cool air so on that basis, it's good.

Portable air conditioners in general are fairly bad, I did the maths in another thread and found that a 12000BTU portable air conditioner could move about 5000BTU of heat. In sensible units that's about 1.45kW of cooling for 1.35kW of power. A dual hose portable air con would bring you up to about 7000BTU, window units and mini splits would be 12000BTU for the same or less power.

Yeah you are. Assuming you don't have a 1.45kW heater on in the same room, this'll cool the room overall.
For those long, hot days with the PS5?
Great price. I’ve got an electriQ portable AC amongst other items under the same brand and they’ve lasted me well.

Does these home air conditioning units feel the same as when you put air con on in the car?

Yeah but a car has a much smaller volume of air to cool compared to something like a double bedroom. And a car aircon works more like a split system as radiator is outside of the space it's trying to cool so far more efficient

In height of summer I would put my air con units on in each room for an hour before bed, would drop temps from mid 20s to high teens upstairs which made it much more comfortable but remember, these blow air out the exhaust . To maintain same room pressure the air will be coming in from somewhere which will be warm , hence why they aren't very efficient

I’ve just ordered one for our babies bedroom. Hopefully as it’s a small room it will be powerful enough. Thank you

Watch the weather be cold and miserable for the rest of the year now!

No, the air con in your car chills the air to a much lower temperature. The air from your car air con feels freezing whereas this only feels cool.
